The Nostalgia RTOS200 Retro Series 2-Slice Bagel Toaster is a powerful 750-Watt toaster equipped to handle any of your toasting needs. Designed to accommodate a variety of breads, two large toasting slots provide ample room for toasting everything from thick slices of bread to bagels. Adjust the doneness by choosing from five browning levels for lightly or darkly toasted bread. Also featured are defrost and cancel options, along with a bagel button that automatically adjusts the toasting time for thicker breads like bagels and English muffins. I like this toaster a lot, and it’s done a great job making toast that is nice and crunchy, and toasts the bread evenly on both sides. I toasted several slices of bread trying to find the right setting, and all kinds of factors fall into play when toasting bread, depending on what kind of bread you’re using, and the moisture and also sugar content in it, and some types of breads just don’t toast very well at all. I was toasting standard sandwich sliced white bread, adjusting the settings to get it just right, and I was able to achieve “Toast Nirvana”!!! Which to me is delicately, evenly browned, crunchy on the teeth, slightly dry inside, and doesn’t get mushy when you butter it. Toasters that actually function and work well are hard to come by, and I don’t know if this company makes a standard designed toaster so you wouldn’t have to commit to the 50’s themed design, but, it’s fun and it actually does a great job making toast…I gave it a good rating on the features, only because you have to toast 2 pieces of bread when you use it for the outer heating elements to kick in. On some toasters, if you’re toasting just one slice of bread, you can use one designated slot to toast just one slice of bread, but otherwise, I would have given it an excellent rating on the features. The instructions didn’t really stress that 2 slices of bread HAD to be used, and I couldn’t figure out for a while why the outer toasting elements weren’t working when toasting one slice of bread. The settings are easy to read, and to change the settings, you just adjust the dial, you don’t have to turn the dial to reset to adjust it. I like the design, it’s cute, and is retro looking as described. The toaster also has a Bagel setting, which toasts the inside of the bagel only, and warms the outside of the bagel. Works great and makes great toast, and good for a nostalgic themed kitchen, or a way to add a little color and a fun element to your kitchen.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Nostalgia Retro 2-Slice Red Toaster with Crumb Tray and Shade Settings. I thought at first it would be a look piece but the toaster works very well. I use simply for toast and bagels. No complaints and I would recommend if you are looking for a nice looking simple toaster.

The Taster is Red hot color like a vintage model. The toaster has a bagels function which can be used to toast one side.The toaster is made of plastic and does not get hot when using it. the top made of metal and it has a tray in the bottom to remove the crumbs. It has a cord holder in the bottom. this good for the use of bagels and bread.Definitely a must use product
