I already had a Supernova2 but wanted a second to cut down on jaw changes. Buying another with the included jaws didn’t make sense so I got this. Its a great chuck. When ordering I also got the fastener kit but it turns out that this comes with one so you don’t need an extra set. It also comes with the hex wrench. You do need the adapter to fit your lathe.

Great Teknatool quality, and works like a dream. This larger chuck is a great addition to my G3. This one holds my cole jaws better than the smaller G3 chuck I run with standard jaws. Get the proper thread adapter for your lathe and it spins true and solid. I like the new method they use to keep the moving parts in alignment. The new chuck key works well too. I love being able to leave cole jaws on this chuck and leaving dovetail jaws on my smaller chuck. Its great they offer this tool without all the other parts we already own.

This Nova chuck is another great addition to my wood turning accessories. I now have a chuck for every set of Nova Jaws (10) that I own. Nova produces quality products and I have never had one fail. This chuck arrived well packaged, without jaws but with a set of screws needed to install jaws that you already have. You will have to order an insert specific to your lathe as this arrives bare of jaws and insert. Build quality is excellent as is all Nova products. If in the future I find I need another chuck I will buy this chuck again from Home Depot.
