It provides adequate cooling. It’s noisy, so you might want to replace the fans.

Bottom line up front, I am happy with my purchase of this item as well as the buying experience through B&H. I would do both again. I’ve used B&H a lot in the past for photography purchases. This was one of three recent PC component purchases through them and I’m pleased with the outcome. Shipping was fast and pricing was actually very competitive and, in a few cases, lower than more traditional PC component sources. The NZXT X63 was part of a custom system build designed to optimize performance using Adobe Premiere Pro for a non-professional but heavy user (read: I’m not getting paid to produce videos and I don’t have a monetized YouTube channel, but I do create a lot of content with effects that require a lot of CPU horsepower to process in a reasonable amount of time.). This is my first AIO water cooling setup but one of a growing number of water-cooled solutions I have built and installed dating back to the mid-1990’s. As this is a product review and not a blog or forum discussion, I’m not going to compare air to water cooling performance. I’ll simply say that I made the choice for the X63 based on a goal of minimizing ambient sound of cooling fans. I installed on an MSI Designare Z390 with an Intel i9 9900K. Installation was straight forward and simple. Two things I want to highlight to assist you with your build. First, its possible that the stand-offs will not mount flush to the MB when screwing them into the mounting backplate. That’s normal and ok. Once you install the fan/pump on the CPU and tighten the thumb nuts, everything will draw together securely. Second, and most importantly, I strongly recommend you install both the radiator and the fan/pump with the inlet/outlet connections on the bottom. This optimizes performance, prevents the possibility of air getting sucked into the system during operation and eliminates the possibility of gurgling noises. See attached photo. While many videos and even NZXT’s own product photos show the hoses and inlet/outlet connects mounted at the top. They portray the mounting that way for marketing and aesthetics to highlight the product more. This is functionally wrong and will result in sound/performance issues as best. Worst, it can result in damage to system components due to poor cooling. Visualize the inlet/outlet connections like the skimmers in a swimming pool. They operate at the water level and suck in both air and water. Similarly, if the X63 hoses are oriented at the top, they will suck in and circulate air through the system. Keeping the hoses at the bottom ensures that the inlets and outlets are always completely under the water level. Air will eventually bleed and settle to the top of the radiator.

I bought for the i-11900k processor. The temperature under full load is 95 degrees. The old cooling system could not cope, the processor lowered the frequencies.

I have owned this cooler for over a year. In the past few months, the pump has started to make a grinding noise for the first 15 minutes that it runs when I boot up my PC. Then I started having issues with the CAM software. New games would stop responding to my keyboard due to some kind of hooking mechanism that still creates issues after disabling it and closing CAM. I emailed tech support through the CAM app (which includes a ton of log files) about the keyboard issue and waited over a week for their reply. Not only did it take incredibly long to respond but the response was useless: This may be an issue with Direct x 12 API. OK so I’ll just stop playing new games then… I’m really disappointed in the brand now and will be using Corsair coolers in the future. The hardware is decent but the software and lack of support is a dealbreaker.

Works perfect with my ASUS TUF x570 + Ryzen 7 3700x

This keeps my 5900X cool. I had to change the pump settings but then no issues. The NZXT software is nice too.

I am removing one star beacuse of the fans, i replaced them with noctua ones, but could not re-purpose the nzxt fans as case fans. I tried the fan screws available in the case, but there were no use. As for the liquid cooler itself, it works as expected, the radiator and the cpu block seem very good quality. I was really happy to find out rgb option for gpu&cpu temperature depiction.

box was already open with some of the screw bags ripped and open. The breakout cable set and micro-usb cable were no where to be found.
