It is a cheap small bench vise. The jaws don’t even close together. They are uneven rite out of the box. But will work for small odd jobs. I recommend a better brand so you don’t waste your money.

THE VISE ONLY TURNED 270 DEGREES INSTEAD OF 360 DEGREES SO IT WAS A BIT OF A HASSLE TO MOUNT TO THE CABINET TOP…OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS OK.

The four inch measurement made me think that the vise was bigger than it is. It’s a good working vise for the handyman but I would not try bending pipe or using a hammer on it. Actually I would say that this vise is for very light work.

The 4″ bench vise was delivered and picked up at a local HomeDepot. The woman at the service was rude and “bossy” when picked up. The vise itself is fabricated in Vietnam, so the quality is fair to average. The swivel lock lever has a “ball” on each end intended to act as a “Stop” mechanism so as not to lose the lever. This broke off immediately. The description say’s it has heavy duty lock jaws but the spindle and spindle nut feels like it may only handle light duty. In conclusion for the price of $23 it’s o.k. for home use I wouldn’t recommend it for commercial use.

Have not mounted/used it yet, but it seems to be what it was advertised to be; only disappointment is that when opening or closing it, the shaft drags for about 1/3 of every revolution, no big deal. The one I bought for my grandson a few years ago was perfect.

Very cheap, poorly made vise. Difficult to open and close the vise, handle end caps come off every time I use it.Tried lubricating and tightening the handle end caps – didn’thelp. Pay a little more – get a better vise.
