I use the surface of this anvil for setting rivets and eyelets with a hammer in leather and kydex knife sheaths.

It’s the perfect size for crafting. Not too heavy to move but enough to be stable on my tabletops

A beautiful little anvil. At times we all need something to put underneath a project to support an object that we need to hammer on, that’s why the anvil was invented. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that I couldn’t find any attachments that are supposed to be available for any anvil and are mountable to the anvil in the square hole toward the rear of the anvil. Even the Olympia site didn’t show any attachments and mine didn’t have any mounting holes but it’s easy to clamp onto a table with some ‘C’ clamps. It’s great for what I use it for.

Cast iron tends to give a bit when pounded on. After a little hammering, the surface was dented slightly. It still worked, just not as robust as steel I guess.

After using it for awhile, I can say it holds up decently, and is making a great starter anvil. Eventually, I plan to upgrade to a forged steel anvil, but for general hobby work this anvil gives a lot of bang for your buck.

This hobby anvil is a tool I’d been looking for a long time. It has a large flat surface that seems very level and the anvil shape is just what my activities needed. The mounting holes are a little small, but function well enough in stabilizing the unit to my bench.

Smaller than I thought it would be, but nice little anvil. Solid, well made (cast). Only wish I could get accessories for it. There don’t seem to be any for the small hardy hole (the square hole) in this anvil. I searched the Internet, even the manufacturer. Apparently the hardy hole is only decorative??

The actual product has a rougher finish than is shown in the image. The mounting holes were missing from the product I received and the hardy hole was off center and rotated a bit. Upon first use, flakes came off the surface of the horn. Not sure if that is normal.
