I was happily surprised with the overall quality of this little anvil. The casting is much better than I anticipated, and the working surface are also very solid and good quality. Very well made. The finish is nicely done and should protect from rust well. I do wish that the base of the anvil had mounting holes pre-drilled, but I think that overall, this is an outstanding anvil..;~)

The product is ok and not expensive. However, it is not made of hardened steel, so dents appear on the surface at every hammer blow. The two holes at the base indicated in the photo are non-existent, so it will require a wood frame around the anvil and quite a bit of fiddling in order to bold it to a surface. Because anvils are very hard to find now, so I would still recommend this small anvil for light work.
