I had bought and returned because this is not quick release. The idea of changing 6x tiny screws (similar to bottom of MacBook Pro) on location to change the battery seems counter intuitive. The Omni Ultimate, however, by itself is amazing.

To start off, for the people complaining about the screws, you remove the transport screws once, throw away if you want and then friction and the rubber housing will hold the battery inside the Ultimate. Now to the critique: I’ve been using this since it first released off kickstarter and love it. The capacity and versatility of the ultimate are awesome. I really only have 2 complaints, first being that the original battery was supposed to be larger than what they ended up shipping with. Water under the bridge at this point but still. My second complaint though is still valid in that the onboard smart chip that’s supposed to communicate current power level to the Ultimate is not accurate. I can charge it completely, switch out batteries, switch back again and then suddenly the level is off, by as much as 90%. It functions but won’t read what the actual level is so you don’t actually know how much juice you have.

To replace the battery you Need to release 6 very small screws!!! With the battery comes another 6 screws. This is not something that is convenient to replace in the field. 🙁 The good thing is that you get a charger and a connection for charging the battery
