Thanks to a polycarbonate inner shell, internal foam padding, synthetic rubber cover, and a touchscreen-compatible screen protector, the black Defender Series Case from Otterbox delivers three-layered, 360° protection for your iPad mini 4. Installation is literally a snap, as is attaching the shield stand to the front or back of the case. For typing or viewing videos, simply place the bottom edge of the Defender Case inside the shield stand and adjust the built-in support as required. Well-designed, the Defender Case may be used with or without its shield. Best of all, case cutouts and port plugs protect and provide access to the iPad mini’s controls and functions. I am very impressed with the note 5 Otter Box Defender. It protects the the note 5 in front and back. It strong to protect the phone. It also has a beautiful design, it makes the phone a multi million dollar phone.

I had an otterbox defender for a motorola atrix hd for 2 years before trading up to a Galaxy S5. The old defender did well for me other than starting to stretch a bit at the end. This new defender seems sleeker and lighter than the old version, but I’m not confident yet that it is as protective in a drop situation as the old version — the outer unit on this fits snugly but doesn’t seem as thick as the older version, probably in an effort to reduce weight and volume. But it fits well, looks good (white inner, gray outer) and everything that should be open (camera lens, speakers, etc) are easily available. I’m surprised that it doesn’t have an additional rubber cover for the charging cord area, although the cover on the phone is supposed to make it water resistant.

I do really prefer otterbox cases to the others …. Unfortunately, the fit and general quality of this case leave a bit to want for…. Fit on the new models may be better……..

The cover fit perfectly and provides excellent protection for the Galaxy Note 5. It is essentially the same case and belt clip as the Otter Box I had for my previous Galaxy Note 3, which is in flawless condition since I go it. Not a mark on it. This new case for the Note 5 promises to provide the same excellent level of protection.

As many times as I drop my Iphone in its Otterbox and it has survived…I definitely insist on the Ipad Mini 4’s to have Otterbox protection. Mine, my husband’s & my daughter’s who has an 8 year old using hers as well. Otterbox on my Ipad Pro as well. Hoping to always be able to get an Otterbox for a future device.
