Thanks to a polycarbonate inner shell, internal foam padding, synthetic rubber cover, and a touchscreen-compatible screen protector, the black Defender Series Case from Otterbox delivers three-layered, 360° protection for your iPad mini 4. Installation is literally a snap, as is attaching the shield stand to the front or back of the case. For typing or viewing videos, simply place the bottom edge of the Defender Case inside the shield stand and adjust the built-in support as required. It is too difficult to take apart when it comes out of the box, useful on a desk, or lap, however troublesome when traveling especially by plane, again too difficult to take apart and put back together with the tablet.

Yep, worth every penny of the cost and has saved my iPad and iPhone multiple times! Does exactly what it is supposed to do – save your device from cracked screens and broken equipment. How about this for a statistic: I have owned four iPhones and three iPad Minis over the past 10 years. All had Otterbox Defender cases on them from day one… NEVER have I cracked let alone scratched my devices and have only replaced the devices due to processing power, nothing else. Purchased same item when I first got my 3G. This past year it has been on my hip through a home reconstruction including drywall, roofing, excavation and jack hammering. After a year the rubber case got a little soft. The one I just purchased is the same with a small upgrade that will help to prevent the rubber from deteriorating.

I’m currently on my second, and last Otter Box Defender case. I originally bought the product after reading the many positive reviews online and on B&H. Originally I was happy with my purchase, even though it did increase the bulkiness of the phone a fair bit. My first case went into the bin after it split in half after becoming squashed between my hatch lid and roof of the car. I bought my second case earlier this year, and just yesterday I dropped my phone from a height of no more than 50cm onto the road, and the screen cracked. The thin parts of the rubber case (where the mute switch is) are prone to breaking, and due to the bulkiness of the case you can’t attach your phone to hi-fi stereos where you place your iPhone on top of.

I truly love all my Defender Otterbox cases – iPod, iPhone and iPad. What I have found that needs to be fixed is the iPad mini case. The hole in the backside showing the Apple logo needs to be smaller. Because it is so big the stand is not stable in the landscape (horizontal) position. The folding support does not keep the iPad securely, and the iPad mini keeps falling off the stand. See the photos below. The blue on is the iPad mini, and the black one is the iPad Air

The Otter case for the iPad is great. I use my iPad for car sales and I have all of our car inventory on my iPad and with the Otter case I feel comfortable taking it out on the lot knowing it is protected from bumps or being dropped ..I think I made a good investment!

Well built, classic Otter Box construction. It’s not a small case but protection and durability was my #1 requirement. The base / hard cover provides 2 different angles of view when used to hold the tablet and a secure location for the S Pen.

After much searching around and watching hundreds of YouTube review videos on the Otterbox Defender case for the ipad 12.9″ Pro 2021 5th Generation I found out that there are two versions of this case on the market. The newer screenless version and this one which includes a built in screen protector. This one, in my opinion is the better of the two. And B&H Photo is the only place that actually has it in stock!! Trust me I did look around. I’m pretty sure that the other version without the built in screen protector is also really good because they are designed and built the same exact way, with the exception of one having a screen protector and the other not having one. Installing the iPad 12.9″ Pro 2021 5th generation was pretty easy. There are many YouTube videos that can assist you with this. The cover that comes with the case also has a built in stand and the cover acts as a protector for the screen of the iPad when not in use. The case is not that bully to be honest and honest he moment you put your iPad into it you will feel an immense sense of satisfaction. The iPad Pro is a pretty expensive device so you want this Otterbox Defender case over anything else law on the market
