Thanks to a polycarbonate inner shell, internal foam padding, synthetic rubber cover, and a touchscreen-compatible screen protector, the black Defender Series Case from Otterbox delivers three-layered, 360° protection for your iPad mini 4. Installation is literally a snap, as is attaching the shield stand to the front or back of the case. For typing or viewing videos, simply place the bottom edge of the Defender Case inside the shield stand and adjust the built-in support as required. Well-designed, the Defender Case may be used with or without its shield. Best of all, case cutouts and port plugs protect and provide access to the iPad mini’s controls and functions. Defender series cases are made to withstand moderate impact, while providing protection from dirt, dust, and scratches.

I bought this for my 6 year olds iPad and it protects her tech very well! My only complaint is that when the optional kickstand is attached you cannot open the access to charge it. I feel like that’s a flaw but otherwise we really love it!

This Otterbox Defender case for iPad Air is great! You can just tell when you install your iPad inside of it that you are getting the best protection. The screen protector built into it does not interfere with use at all as you can barely even tell there is a screen protector. The case is really three pieces as you attach it to an included stand face down when not using it. The stand works great as well. I haven’t dropped it yet, but feel this case would provide good protection if I were to drop it.

I had a hard time holding on to my Samsung 10.5 Galaxy Tab S6. I knew pretty quick I was going to break the tablet. I bought this case and it’s same as the case for my Galaxy S10e just bigger. We use the product at our company called Fight Soap, which makes bath and body care products for people like MMA fighters. The case protects our new iPad very well in rough sports environments, the outdoors, and when we use it at the labs amidst all the chemicals. It does add a lot of bulk and weight to the iPad but it’s a small price to pay for peace of mind and protection. The stand acts as a great protective shell for the screen during transport, which is a feature the other cases do not have. It’s a great product and we’ve had great experiences with otterbox customer service with our iPhone cases.Only wish of ours would be a seal for the speakers. This is the only visible unprotected area once the case is on. This can be great for damp or even wet environments. The Griffin case has this sort of seal as we’ve compared when we were at the NY store.

Position your iPhone for click-in very precisely otherwise it does not snap in properly and might fall out. Snapping-in your iPhone screen facing towards you, the frame pushes the volume buttons and put your phone to silence. You might miss important calls! Wandering this wasn’t figured out before getting this device to the market.

All of our iphones and iPads live in the Defender cases. They have been dropped on cement floors during airport checks, dropped in house….devices remain safe and unharmed. They make your device heavier, but safety is the primary issue for us.

I suppose it does what it says, but for the price I expected better quality materials, precision, and feel. 1. The outer rubberized back piece has a very strong unpleasant odor out of the box. 2. The hard plastic parts have the look and feel of polystyrene. 3. The clear plastic sheet intended to cover the screen of the iPad Pro does not have the clarity of acrylic, looks cheap, and feels unpleasant. Basically, I expected this iPad case to be a larger version of a well made iPhone case, and the screen cover to be super smooth and clear – it isn’t. That clear plastic cover is attached to the top outer plastic part with an adhesive, so if you don’t want to use it you have to manually detach it by an appropriate means. If you don’t expect a super good look and feel of your iPad case and assuming the odor from the rubberized outer will go away with time this case will be acceptable.
