Thanks to a polycarbonate inner shell, internal foam padding, synthetic rubber cover, and a touchscreen-compatible screen protector, the black Defender Series Case from Otterbox delivers three-layered, 360° protection for your iPad mini 4. Nice solid case. Only 4/5 because the screen protector feels cheap and makes the ipad screen not so great. Decided to remove the screen protector, which is very easy to do. It’s held on with a weak adhesive. The built-in stand in the removable cover works great.

I purchased a blue and teal iPad mini 4 a Otterbox, and I payed slot for it, and it doesn’t really fit it probably it is a little loose, and the rubber is a little stretched and I just put it on last night.

The Defender Case is really good for certain things. We find it invaluable in the office, where many people are handling the iPad. Personal use wouldn’t require such a heavy duty case though.

My husband asked me to pick up an Otter phone case for his new iPhone. I asked him if I should look at other options but he said, No, Otter is the best one, I’ve always used it and I want to stick to it. About a week after I brought it home, his phone slipped off the sofa on to the floor. I gasped but he didn’t even flinch. In fact, when he picked it up, he let it fall again purposefully to show me that my worries were for naught. What are you worried about, it’s an Otter, nothing is going to happen! That’s what I call trust and confidence in a product, earned by Otter with its reliable track record. With this in mind, I also picked up Otters for my two sons.

This is the ONLY product that offers all-around protection and has a screen that you don’t have to fumble with, trying to put it on. The case also doubles as a computer stand. But what I really like is the case is two parts. The computer stand part, when no in use snaps securely to the front of the iPad, this giving front, back, and side protection to the iPad. If the iPad is dropped the screen won’t be touched. I shattered an iPad 2 that was in a case but that case had no support for the screen. It was dropped, face first, onto a slate floor. Had it been protected in an Otterbox the shattering would have never happened.

This case not only protects the iPad, it keeps the on/off switch from being pressed when the iPad is in tight quarters. My only complaint is the lack of video or written instructions from OtterBox on how to take apart the case and then reassemble it on the pad. It is not easy with a new, tight fitting case nor especially intuitive.
