Thanks to a polycarbonate inner shell, internal foam padding, synthetic rubber cover, and a touchscreen-compatible screen protector, the black Defender Series Case from Otterbox delivers three-layered, 360° protection for your iPad mini 4. Installation is literally a snap, as is attaching the shield stand to the front or back of the case. For typing or viewing videos, simply place the bottom edge of the Defender Case inside the shield stand and adjust the built-in support as required. This is a fantastic fit for my iPad mini 2. I purchased it because the Defender case has protected my iPhone during many drops. I found it easier to put on the device than the Griffin brand Survivor cases I use on my children’s older iPads. It does add some weight/bulk to the device but essential protection with travel and children. I like that the kick stand has two positions too.

Solid case with superb protection. Great rubberized back and sides for grip too. I’ve tried a few cases before this(as well as for some other prior phones) and this Otterbox defender series case beats them hands down. Built like tank. Does add some bulk but it’s worth it. It has buttons on the case for the power and volume levels which works just fine without much pressure applied needed for either.A built in thin plastic screen protector too. So no more bubbles! Got the best deal online for this case through B&H. Highly recommend!

I’m happy with my purchase overall. I just noticed a single problem. The charging port is covered by a thick rubber. I feel like it might loosen/damage the cable and charging port over time because of the rubber’s pressure trying to cover up the port. Tempted to cut it though.

Perfect fit for my new 9.7 iPad Pro. The only caveat is that a very thin iPad becomes bulky once this case is installed. It’s a Defender Case, though, and that’s exactly what it does. I’ve had other Otterbox Defender products and they really protect the device from impacts and liquids. It is well worth the money for the piece of mind that it provides.

This is my 2nd Otterbox case. I bought them both after the first cases failed. My first was for an older iPhone this one for an iPad. The case is sturdy gives good access and has some nice features such as the rests which enable easy reading and typing. I have become an Otterbox fan.

This case is really well designed, is quite sleek and small compared to previous generations of the Defender Series I’ve used on older phones. The rubber around the case seems much tighter than it was in the past which I like but the Touch ID home button has a plastic wrap type protection which creases and makes unlocking your phone impossible using your finger at times… I can’t imagine how frustrating it would be to try it with apple Pay. I might end up cutting that part off of the case so I can just use the real button.

The case is well made and excellent for an eight year old. It is designed to take a beating but also looks good. My granddaughter loves the blue cover and the stand when she takes off the outer cover and sets the IPad in it. The IPad is well protected. One of the best I have seen.
