If you’re thinking of defending your 9.7" iPad Pro from much of what life has to throw at it, then it may be worth considering a black Defender Series Case from Otterbox. This case features a two-piece polycarbonate inner shell surrounded by a synthetic rubber outer layer for additional shock protection against drops, bumps, and scratches.
Attached to the outer rubber layer are port plugs that help guard against dust. A clear polyurethane screen protector is built into the inner shell to help shield your touchscreen against scratches, scrapes, and scuffs, without diminishing the display’s visibility. Internal foam cushions the back of the tablet while keeping it from moving around inside the case.
The included shield stand snaps onto the front of the case for added touchscreen protection during transport. When not needed for protection, it may be snapped onto the back of the case. The inside of the shield stand has a built-in foldaway stand for viewing movies or typing, functioning in both portrait and landscape modes. There’s also built-in storage for an optional Apple Pencil.

I have used Otterbox Defender in conjunction with an equally well known hardened glass screen protector for years on my iPhones and iPads. I have NEVER had an incident resulting in so much as a smudge on any of my devices. While more costly than other cases I would not even consider using anything other than Otterbox Defender. When you decide to sell or trade in your device it will emerge as pristine as the day you bought it. I have absolutely zero financial interest in Otterbox or its affiliates. But I wish I did.

I bought this a little over a month ago. the case holds up fine and is known for being tough. I’ve got two things I wish they would fix with this case. this case does not come with any kind of clip or on the hard plastic case. there is also a thin plastic cover over the home button that is very flimsy and easy to tear or break.

The case is nice but unlike life proof case it is not water or dust resistant. It’s a case to protect the screen from scratches. So you buy cheaper ones to do that. It has a stand but I don’t use it much. I suppose you might use it if you have a separate keyboard.

I bought this month and its the BEST iPad cover on the market! if you don’t have a cover for your iPad you must buy an Otter cover, if think about it it like having insurance for your device so it is a GREAT investment!

I use my ipad for work as a musician so I need a case like the iPad Air 2 Defender by Otterbox. It is a great case and seems to protect my ipad just fine. The screen and thumbprint thing work great. But.. the crushed damson color is actually hot pink. It is very distracting to have a glowing pink edge to something I am trying to watch or read. I returned it for a store credit and found a nice black one.

This thing is so solid and well.built and also I like the fact that the lid serves also as a stand with two positions, also it adds a great style, I thought it would look ugly on my iPad but not at all , just what I would have liked is that it would had been less.bulky so it can fit in my peak designs everyday sling better but Ill have to buy just another cover like a clear one for it to pass thru better, without getting semistuck , but asides from.that Im.bery happy with it , its just a thing that looks and feels so well.made you just trust it with your iPad as soon as you take it out the box , its worth every penny but I would have liked it to cost no more than 50.or 60 at Max but the other side of this deal is that this thing looks as.itll last forever so I think of it as a very good inversion

The Otterbox defender case is an amazing case to protect your iPad.It was a bit pricy, but I get peace of mind if I drop it! It also includes a screen protector, so everything is very protected! I have been in that situations that my iPad dropped out of an cover and totally broke. That will not happen with this Otterbox! My husband asked me to pick up an Otter phone case for his new iPhone.
