If you’re thinking of defending your 9.7" iPad Pro from much of what life has to throw at it, then it may be worth considering a black Defender Series Case from Otterbox. This case features a two-piece polycarbonate inner shell surrounded by a synthetic rubber outer layer for additional shock protection against drops, bumps, and scratches.
Attached to the outer rubber layer are port plugs that help guard against dust. A clear polyurethane screen protector is built into the inner shell to help shield your touchscreen against scratches, scrapes, and scuffs, without diminishing the display’s visibility. Internal foam cushions the back of the tablet while keeping it from moving around inside the case.
The included shield stand snaps onto the front of the case for added touchscreen protection during transport. When not needed for protection, it may be snapped onto the back of the case. The inside of the shield stand has a built-in foldaway stand for viewing movies or typing, functioning in both portrait and landscape modes. There’s also built-in storage for an optional Apple Pencil.

if you are wanting total protection for your ipad pro 12.9 second generation then this is the case for you! my family only used otter box defender cases – we have never had an apple product damaged. these cases are amazing and provide the absolute best protection. i was worried that there would be some issues using the case with apple pencil – zero issues! the apple pencil completely responded with no lag time. i did make the modification of clipping off the tiny flap of rubber that covers the charging port – i do this on every otter box just to make it easier to pop a charger in.

For the twentieth time this year, I have dropped my iPad Mini and it survived each and every time! If you care about your investment of $800 for your iPad Mini, I highly recommend that you invest in this helmet for your equipment! Nothing worse than buying a cheap case for an expensive piece of electronic equipment – SPEND THE $89 and breathe easy every day knowing that OtterBox is going to protect your iPad even if you don’t!

As usual, otter box have a tough, quality product. Color is good too (only colors are this (it is called Vinyassa) or black. More colors may be offered as this iPad (10.5 inch) is becoming more popular.
