If you’re thinking of defending your 9.7" iPad Pro from much of what life has to throw at it, then it may be worth considering a black Defender Series Case from Otterbox. This case features a two-piece polycarbonate inner shell surrounded by a synthetic rubber outer layer for additional shock protection against drops, bumps, and scratches.
Attached to the outer rubber layer are port plugs that help guard against dust. A clear polyurethane screen protector is built into the inner shell to help shield your touchscreen against scratches, scrapes, and scuffs, without diminishing the display’s visibility. Internal foam cushions the back of the tablet while keeping it from moving around inside the case.
The included shield stand snaps onto the front of the case for added touchscreen protection during transport. When not needed for protection, it may be snapped onto the back of the case. The inside of the shield stand has a built-in foldaway stand for viewing movies or typing, functioning in both portrait and landscape modes. There’s also built-in storage for an optional Apple Pencil.

This one is original and the same price as on the internet. I ordered my first otterbox via internet and it was a fake. Almost I decided to never buy a otterbox again!!! If you are investing x amount of dollars into a ipad. It only makes sense to protect it. This case really makes it easy to travel without babying the ipad and with worrying over how other are handling it.It not only keeps your ipad air body safe, glass safe and dust free. It also has a built in kick stand that really saves you money from buying something else to prop it up. The only down side is that it’s not easy to take your ipad air in and out of your case. (I don’t know why you would want to, but you might). From my experience get it.

Not much to say that I now have more confidence that the new case will protect my new IPAD. I previously purchased the Belkin case that also had keyboard, but it cracked along the upper right side in 3 places. I was not able to glue it together. On my older IPAD the case was designed differently, so not so fragile and my wife is still using it. I liked the keyboard but oh well. The Otterbox is heavier, but I feel my IPAD is definitely more protected to accidental bumps when I take it out of the house.
