This is exactly what I was looking for! I have two todlers in my house and I needed something to protect my (very expensive) ipad. You can tell once you put it on, it will do its job. This case does make the ipad a bit heavy, but it is expected. My only two complaints are the outer case and the color of the case. The outer case is perfect for holding the ipad up and to type, but it is a bit tedious to remove it everytime i want to use the camera. I wish the outer case had a hole for the camara so I could use it easily and actually put it on the ipad when i take it out. My other complaint is the colors this case comes in. Come on! It’s so unfair that the cases for the ipad air come in all sets of different colors and all we get is black and blind your eyes fuscia. If these two things don’t bother you than this is the case for you. Its sturdy and perfect to protect your device from any falls or accidents

Little heavy for a lot of people especially my 84 year old mom. The charging port is hard for her to install or remove charging cable. We had to take off hard plastic stand. I am confident when she drops iPad it will survive the drop. I would not buy this again for elderly person but I would buy for myself in a heartbeat Before COVID I would be able to exchange for different cover

My dauther’s high school is moving to iPads this year and a durable cover is mandatory to receive her iPad. This one looked the best online and did not disappoint in person. I had an otterbox defender for a motorola atrix hd for 2 years before trading up to a Galaxy S5. The old defender did well for me other than starting to stretch a bit at the end. This new defender seems sleeker and lighter than the old version, but I’m not confident yet that it is as protective in a drop situation as the old version — the outer unit on this fits snugly but doesn’t seem as thick as the older version, probably in an effort to reduce weight and volume. But it fits well, looks good (white inner, gray outer) and everything that should be open (camera lens, speakers, etc) are easily available. I’m surprised that it doesn’t have an additional rubber cover for the charging cord area, although the cover on the phone is supposed to make it water resistant.

I am confident my phone is safe in the Defender case. My goal is to keep my Galaxy S7 from falling, rather than just be a suit of armor. My hands are slippery, smooth, and dry. I quickly upgraded my purchase from Commuter (slick plastic) to the mighty Defender with the most sticky traction possible. Sorta like with airplanes, instead of making em stronger, stop crashes. Inconveniences, top menu difficult, usb adapter no longer gets close enough, but cable still fine. Happy–

This thing is so solid and well.built and also I like the fact that the lid serves also as a stand with two positions, also it adds a great style, I thought it would look ugly on my iPad but not at all , just what I would have liked is that it would had been less.bulky so it can fit in my peak designs everyday sling better but Ill have to buy just another cover like a clear one for it to pass thru better, without getting semistuck , but asides from.that Im.bery happy with it , its just a thing that looks and feels so well.made you just trust it with your iPad as soon as you take it out the box , its worth every penny but I would have liked it to cost no more than 50.or 60 at Max but the other side of this deal is that this thing looks as.itll last forever so I think of it as a very good inversion

If you care about your investment of $800 for your iPad Mini, I highly recommend that you invest in this helmet for your equipment!
