I took a star off because it’s kind of expensive. But My iPad pro is protected beautifully, so I guess it’s a good investment… If this case was waterproof, it would be perfect.

Otterbox protects your device like nothing else. While it’s a bit bulky you can be sure that your device is safe. Several years ago I dropped a IPad Mini down a flight of steps and landed on a tile floor… my iPad was safe and sound. I have them on my iPhone as well and I beat the heck out of that and it too is always safe. As always, B&H is great to deal with!!

We bought this mostly to protect our iPad from abuse from our kids. While they haven’t thrown it, it is extremely sturdy and protective. I love the hard cover that can go over the front or the back of the iPad. Solid case!

Overall, I very much like this case. It has saved my phone numerous times already from falls on hard floors. I actually like the reduced sensitivity on the edges of the screen, as I was always triggering something I didn’t want when grabbing it on the edge of the phone. The biggest down side is that it’s much more difficult to swipe down from the top of the screen to get at options/notifications. If they had just widened the exposed screen area a hair more, it would work so much better! One more thing – the holster rides high on the hip. The leather case I had before had the clip at the top of the case, rather than centered. I know that they did it to allow for rotation for vertical and horizontal clipping, but it does get in the way sometimes being so high.

Purchased same item when I first got my 3G. This past year it has been on my hip through a home reconstruction including drywall, roofing, excavation and jack hammering. After a year the rubber case got a little soft. The one I just purchased is the same with a small upgrade that will help to prevent the rubber from deteriorating.

We bought three of these Otter Boxes for the iPad Mini to support a video production class at a camp for kids with Type 1 Diabetes. The class has about 15 kids in it and we decided that we would shoot, edit and produce videos this year on iPad Mini’s. Unfortunately, the little Mini’s are slippery and we needed some protection. We got it. These Defender Cases are awesome – without them, the chances of a broken panel or some other calamity would be pretty high – with the Defender cases, the chances are almost nil.Great construction quality – easy to put together – self explanatory in operation. These are quite literally the cream of the crop. Are they pricey? No – not compared to replacing a $400 tablet.

The phone fits a little tighter into her purse now, but the protection is worth it.
