They say it would work on a late 2011 MacBook Pro. It does.

Excellent RAM for the 2012 21.5 iMac. Increased my RAM from 12 GB to 20 GB and works like a charm. All my software are functioning more smoothly and increasing my productivity.

Memory was exactly right for an Imac. Worked first time, now 10 year old computer is fast enough!
Jess Johns (verified owner) –
Great quality, easy install, made my 27 mid-2011 Mac faster (which I did not expect — but then I went from 4gb RAM to 20gb).

I ordered two 4GB SDRAM Memory Modules from B&H. They came quickly. Unfortunately, two days after installing them, they appeared to go bad and my computer wouldn’t start up, until I removed the new modules and reinstalled my old 2GB modules. Initially responsive to my attempts to return or exchange them, customer service has gone silent and I have yet to receive the information about returning the defective modules that I had requested. Too bad….
