Perfect fit & performance for my model iMac late 2015 27in

This RAM didn’t work in my brand new Retina 5K iMac. Got at least 5-6 kernel panics a day and numerous app crashes. Going to contact OWC and try another set but I may need to go down to 32 GB RAM.

Nothing easier than this to triple the memory (in my case) of my lagging late-2015 iMac. Lightroom and Premiere are hogs it seems and this helped take some of the pressure off.

My experience was the same asOrfischer’s. Purchased directly from OWC, as no 16G modules available @ B&H No problems prior to addition of 2x16G modules to the original 8G (as recommended on the OWC site), then, post installation, the system crashes frequently (every 1/2 hour or so). I’m not running any really intensive programs – Safari, Mail,& Photos (no post-processing) & it goes to Black screen, then message (your computer has re-started due to a problem)… Removed the OWC modules & NO problems subsequently. A very costly learning experience.

These arrived quickly, were reasonably priced, packaged really well and it took just a few minutes to install.

These work just as well as the more expensive Apple Approved cards. Being able to upgrade from 8 to 32 g for around $200 dollars was amazing! Thanks, B&H!

I installed an 8GB to 24GB upgrade in my iMac. The activity monitor immediately recognized and Photoshop adjusted its memory. I spent the rest of the day kicking myself for not doing it earlier. iMac makes the upgrade process relatively easy, but it took a couple of attempts to get the memory mounting just right. After raising the bar and then lowering it just a little (the one raised after getting the cover off), I was able to get a firm ‘snap’ sound that these were mounted correctly. After that, it booted up like normal. I wouldn’t think twice about this upgrade if you are still running on 8GB. The performance improvement is across the board. Chrome is carrying more cache, and Lightroom and Photoshop are now very responsive. I bought my machine in 2017 and had to manage my applications carefully to keep from keeping the machine from getting very sluggish. I was thinking about buying a new iMac. Now, I hope to get a few more years out of this one.

I ignored the advice in these reviews and I learned my lesson. DO NOT BUY THESE. DO NOT BUY THEM. THEY ARE NOT COMPATIBLE. They will CRASH your system over and over.

Too early to tell, but absolutely essential for running PS & LR

OWC 32GB upgrade for my iMac late 2015. upgraded from a measly 8GB to 32GB. Jaw dropper. install literally took about 6 mins. just noted orientation of the OEM RAM as i took it out and lined up the four new bars of Freedom! slotted them and levered them into place. boots faster and web pages load faster also! i haven’t done any video editing on iMovie just yet, but maybe this weekend. Same RAM on amazon was double the price (pretty sure) All the bars worked perfectly no DOA’s! this was my first upgrade on my 5 year old iMac 5K 2015 so thank you to B&H for having this RAM at a great price and quick ship down to Florida.

Adding more memory to my iMac was super easy and made Lightroom run much faster. It’s also WAY less expensive than buying it pre installed from Apple. Highly recommended!

I bought an iMac with the standard 8GB installed memory and wanted to bump it up a bit. But I was surprised that B&H sells OWC memory. I normally buy my memory from OWC, but I had a delivery issue, which is why I came to B&H.

Crashes in less than 1 minute running BMD Disk Speed Test on SSD JBOD. Tried different DIMM configs, including falling back to 2x16G DIMMs to stay within Apple advertised 32GB memory limit, and this smaller config also panics iMac and causes a hard reboot. Seems like there must be a design problem with these DIMMs, not simply one-off manufacturing defects. Really wanted this config to work, but it really doesn’t. Avoid these until OWC gets problems sorted out.

Doubled memory in just a few minutes with no special tools and simple to follow instructions. The performance boost was well worth it and now video edits are smoother, render faster, and compress better. I think of all the time I could have saved if I did this sooner…
