Upgrade the memory in your 27″ iMac with Retina 5K Display (Late 2015) with a model ID of iMac17,1 using the 16GB DDR3 1867 MHz SO-DIMM Memory Kit from OWC / Other World Computing. This memory kit features a total capacity of 16GB, which is made up of two 8GB modules. It also has a clock speed of 1867 MHz, a bus speed of PC3-14900, and a 204-pin SO-DIMM form factor. It operates using 1.35V, has a CAS Latency of CL=11, a cycle time of 1.875 ns, does not support ECC technology, and is not registered. Additionally, it is fully compliant with JEDEC specifications and is RoHS certified.
Please bear in mind that this RAM will only work with the Apple 27″ iMac with Retina 5K Display (Late 2015). These systems have a model ID of iMac17,1.

two different sets of this memory did not work on my late oct 2015 Imac 27 retina 5K, purchased new in July 2016 The first set crashed very often and Failed Memtest memory testing software tests the second set passed rember tests, but still triggered kernel panics a few minutes after reboot My Imac is very stable with the original 8Gb from apple I purchased a 64 GB memory kit from Crucial, and so far, I have not had any kernel Panics in 3 days running non stop, So I do not believe my computer or the 64 Gb configuration may be at fault. there may be something wrong with this batch. OWC is a great company and I have had no issue with their products up until now. One thing I noticed is that the memory boards appeared to require less force to insert than the apple or Crucial ones.

I ordered the product on February 22th. It was written that it would be delivered in a maximum of 15 days. but it reached me in 1.5 months. I could not get enough support from B&H in this process. It was a very bad shopping experience. I have never encountered such a disgrace before.

The memory is fine and was easy to install except that the computer crashed repeatedly after installing the memory. I ended up having to remove all the memory from the computer, including what was already installed, and reinsert each card, with the new memory going where the existing memory had been installed. I did do this in pairs and upgraded my 8GB to 24GB total. I have had no problems since then.

I didn’t conduct any measured performance tests. However, it was a noticeable improvement in loading programs and processing Lightroom files. I upgraded from 8mb to 24mb With this purchase. Installation was extremely easy, open the compartment and add the two cards in the two open slots. I’m satisfied with the upgrade, but I don’t believe that I will upgrade to the max of 32mb.

Easy install in my 2015 27 imac, just popped off the panel, removed the two 4GB chips and put these 4 in. Speed is great!
