Overall this worked very very well. The adhesive strip instructions could have been written better and the illustrations showing the computer’s position and monitor’s position relative to the adhesive placement could be improved. If you are careful though you will be fine but it’s something to note for sure. There was some confusion on my part about where to put the top two adhesive strips. It’s not entirely clear in the instructions. It became clear but only after I placed the first one on the monitor instead of on the chassis. Thankfully I put it the right way around anyway so it worked out. Also – There’s no thin-screw-driver-like tool included in the kit like the one the manufacturer shows in the video to help center the holes of the adhesives onto the holes on the computer. You should be able to use your own if you have a precision screwdriver laying around though. Everything else about this kit is perfect though.

Used to replace the hard drive on my 2012 Imac 27 Great kit the only thing I’d note is that the suction cups aren’t easy to remove from the screen. I had to slide them to the edge of the screen to create an air pocket. Neither the less I think this kit is the best on the market and would highly recommend it. A bit pricey though. I would of loved to see a screen spray as well.

I bought this kit about 2.5 years ago to upgrade my iMac with an SSD because of an email ad they sent. Seemed like a great idea except for it states “Upgrade a MAC with any Sata drive.” So I bought it thinking hey, awesome, just like the same kit I bought for my 2009 macbook I’ll upgrade by adding a hard drive. Well, FML, this is a “REPLACEMENT” kit to upgrade and EXISTING drive , not to “upgrade a Max with any Sata drive”. Back then there was no verbiage to let me kindly know this would not work with my iMac to upgrade my Mac by adding in a newer drive. Funny, it said my model was a fit. So now my iMac is sitting on my desk torn apart with no connection to upgrade by adding in my Sata drive I bought.
