Great kit, but for some models of Mac Mini need to buy an adapter for the disk because Apple changed the disk tray.

Poor quality of the screw drivers included in this kit literally ruined my Mac Mini. They loose their edge and stripped my Mac Mini screws.

Everything I needed to add an SSD to my Mac Mini 2012. Installation went smoothly; included instructions are very detailed. Adding an SSD reduced my cold boot time from 50sec to 20sec. Well worth it.

The instructions and on-line videos were easy to understand. All took that I needed were included but I suggest to have an old ice cube tray available to put your screws in when removing. This helps keep them in order and not get lost.

Overall this operation is a medium level of complexity. Everything is very small and very fragile in the Mini (late 2012). Wether an issue with the Mac assembly or the Torx T8 supplied it did not fit two of the hex screws that secure the bottom cover on to the mac. The nylon pry tool was simply too wide for a few of the situations that called for it. Price point is spot on. Would have preferred using my own tools, but I was in a pinch. It certainly got the job done.

This did exactly what it was supposed to do and everything was included. Followed along with the video while installing. Be careful when unplugging the IR sensor. I caught the corner of the connector and with minimal force ripped it out of the logic board. Luckily I have no need for that function. Maybe a little extra warning on the instructions but it was mostly my error. Otherwise I’m happy with this.

Excellent product and instructions. I had no problem using the accessories with the video presented. I would not say adding a hard drive was difficult, but it was not very easy. There are some parts of the instructions which involve connections on the motherboard which does not snap into place easily.

More space and more speed in your mac mini. Easy to install.
