This 15-Piece Everyday Kitchen Tool Set (Brand: OXO, Model: Good Grips) is quite nice, and the tools are all made from a durable-feeling rubber material (with a few exceptions for tools made from metal). The set comes with a plethora of utensils, including often-used tools (12 in. tongs, grater, peeler, flexible turner, square turner, spoon, slotted spoon, ice cream scoop, can opener, and spatula) as well as some useful but less-often-used tools (potato masher, 11 in. balloon whisk, meat tenderizer, and 4 in. pizza wheel).Importantly, one common kitchen tool that we use a LOT in our household was missing from this set: a pasta spoon. Why this is missing, I’ll never know, but I sure am noticing its absence!The set comes with a stainless utensil holder, but I find the phrase “Large capacity utensil holder” to be a bit misleading. While the holder does house a lot of kitchen tools, the reality is that it’s super-challenging to get all of the tools into the holder, so it’s not quite as big as the description lead me to believe.

This review is for Good Grips 10-Piece Everyday Kitchen Tool Set depicted in the accompanying photos. The set, including the two-section plastic and brushed stainless steel storage container, is of the typical of the OXO quality that our family has become accustomed to for this manufacturer. The container dimensions are approximately 5-1/2 inches high x 4 inches deep x 7-1/4 inches wide. The utensils supplied have soft grip handles. The molded flex turner, slotted turner and two spoons are apparently of heat-resistant nylon. The spatula appears to be silicon-type with metal reinforcement so that it is soft where it needs to be near the spatula edges and stiffer for the center part of the scraper and the handle. The flexible turner is quite thin and has a slightly cupped shape so that it works very well to lift and turn food inside slippery, oiled Teflon-coated cooking pans. The spoons and slotted turner are long at 13-1/2 inches so that hands are kept clear of hot spatters and steam from cooking. The peeler is the best I have worked with so far, it being very sharp and effective. The cutter for the pizza wheel has a diameter of about 3-1/8 inches. These tools clean up easily and have great fit and finish. This set is a nice update for our older cooking tools. In addition, the price for this set at The Home Depot is very competitive.

I am so impressed with the quality of these kitchen tools. I love the Oxo line and these tools are fantastic. It comes with everything you need to start off or supplement your kitchen tool supply. Each tool comes individually wrapped in plastic and the entire set comes in a very nice looking box. This would make an amazing wedding gift or house-warming gift.The tools are very sturdy and well made. They are easy to use and work much better than some other tools I’ve used. For example, the spatula is very thin making it easy to get under what you need to flip in the pan (like fish or pancakes), but it is very strong as well. It is by no means flimsy. The tongs work well and have a good feeling in your hand. The pizza cutter slices through pizza and other things with ease. It is also very easy to clean.The tool holder will look great on any counter. It is oval shaped and just the right height. It’s not so short that your tools will fall out. Also, it’s not so tall that if you have this placed beneath upper cabinets, you won’t hit the cabinets with the tool when you go to retrieve it. There is a central divider inside which helps give the tools support and helps prevent them from laying flat at the bottom. Also, at the bottom inside, there are little indentions where the handles of the tools can nest. This is another design feature which helps keep the tools upright and in place as you remove and replace the tools.

This set is a mixed bag. Some of the tools are the best we’ve ever owned (pizza cutter, potato masher, egg flipper), and some of them are nothing special to write home about (ladle, spoon, pasta scooper). It is a deal to get all of these plus a container for the price, but unless you’re starting with nothing or replacing everything with a matching set… this might not be the best value for you, and you may want to piecemeal just the parts you need. The pizza cutter is HUGE and really sharp, the best one we’ve ever owned. The egg flipper is amazing and has lots of spring and narrows down to a fraction of a millimeter. Please note that the meat tenderizer is NOT dishwasher safe, OXO does make a dishwasher safe meat tenderizer but it is not included in this set… instead they included the aluminium one that is not dishwasher safe. The potato masher is really strong has a nice tight weave. The whisk, dough scraper, peeler, can opener, ice cream scoop, and tongs are about average quality – no better than what we had but no worse. We found the spoons and ladles to be below average quality and nothing special, just cheap plastic. All of them have the OXO Good Grips handles which makes them nice to hold and use, and as mentioned above the stainless container is included as well.

This Good Grips 10-Piece Everyday Kitchen Tool Set is of good quality as are all of my Oxo Good Grips products. The attractive stainless steel utensil holder has a removable drip tray bottom and is divided into two sections. These ten utensils are basic need, but there is room in the holder to add additional needed tools.The tools have soft,comfortable handles – hence the “Good Grips” moniker. It’s great to just grab what you need instead of rummaging through a drawer to find what you’re looking for!

Comes with all the basic kitchen utensils and a nice looking utensil holder as well. Spatulas have a nice flexibility to them no too stiff and not too flexible. All have a nice softer grip with a good grip as well. I didn’t realize how nice the grips are until after a week of using them, no there is no going back to gripless ones that I used to have.

This set is so pretty and so well put together. I did not have many of the utensils that are included. I couldn’t fit them all in the beautiful stainless steel container/holder because there are so many! How smart that the holder is designed with little indents in the bottom so your utensils can sit in them and not get all criss crossed. I am an OXO addict! I love this company and their products! This set looks beautiful with any decor and matches their other stainless steel and black products. They look so nice together on the counter – everything matches wonderfully. It seems that OXO puts alot of thought into their stylish designs. You can see the picture on the back of the box that shows what is included. A can opener, ice cream scoop, pizza cutter, vegetable peeler and tenerizer were all pleasant surprises for me. This would make a fantastic gift. I highly recommend it!

Every tool is at your finger tips. The storage caddy keeps them easily accessible and the carrier is sufficient in size to hold all the tools while being an attractive addition to the kitchen counter.The tools are excellent quality and easy to hold. The tongs are long enough to keep me out of the hot water and grip well. The handles are comfortable on the tools are easy to grip. This has become a problem recently but these tools do the trick!

I already had all of these tools from various manufacturers in a drawer. I just remodeled the kitchen and had room for a hanging rack behind the stove, and I didn’t want to hang a bunch of mismatched tools back there in plain sight, so I got this set. The canister is actually very nice and elegant looking and is the right size for 3/4 of these items to fit easily (they probably all fit but it is tight and they are hard to get in and out). Most have a hole in the handle so they can be hung instead. All of the tools are functional and the right size. The only deduction in stars is due to completely plastic handles and I personally would like them better if they were metal with plastic at the business ends, but at least this way there isn’t any way to harm your cookware.

This 10 piece good grips everyday kitChen tool set is much better than I expected. The quality of each untinsel is above average. The weight of each piece and balance makes them a pleasure to work with. All 10 items are regularly used in the kitchen. The unit that holds the items is well designed. The first piece that I tried was the ice cream scoop. Working with hard frozen ice cream was easy. It is a wonderful set.

This kitchen caddy with utensils is adorable and for a new homemaker it would be the perfect house warming gift. I got this because I thought it was cute and one can never have enough kitchen utensils. It is sharp looking and made sturdy and does not lean or tip over even when completely full with all the utensils inside or even half of them removed. It stays balanced. This fifteen piece kitchen tool set is at the end of the day more than you can ask for. You’ve really got all your bases covered with even some of the niche gadgets like a pizza cutter and potato masher. The only thing it’s missing is one of those pronged pasta spoons which I already happen to have from OXO so it goes perfectly with this set. Since I personally don’t eat a whole lot of icecream or cook pizzas at home I just tucked those tools away, but the spatulas and ladels and can opener all see constant use in my kitchen. The storage box is also very pretty with little drainage holes to capture excess moisture. Awesome kit for any kitchen!

This is a great set of kitchen tools along with a nice canister style holder all made by OXO (although the ones I got are not as pictured here) I received a short handled pancake turner that is great for cooking with heavier weight foods like potatoes. There is also another hole filled turner and spoon, a solid long handled spoon along with a food scraper. There is also a vegetable peeler and a set of tongs. All of these can be kept inside the nice stainless holder that looks great in my kitchen.These are made of stainless steel and heat resistant nylon that work great while cooking and are quite easy to clean up afterwards.

A great kitchen set to start off a new family with their first home, but don’t throw these in the dishwasher!My wife requested this 15 piece Good Grips kitchen Tool set from the Home Depot October Seeds campaign since we have been using a hodge podge collection of various kitchen tools from multiple sources.When the set finally arrived, I was pleased to find that all of the tools are individually enclosed in plastic bags to keep them dust and grease free and protect them from scratching each other which is appreciated. Additionally, the tools all appear to be of quality construction and feel very solid during use.My only real complaint (which is the reason for the lost star) is that at least one of the tools (the Meat Tenderizer) has a sticker warning it is not dishwasher safe. Seeing as how most all the tools appear to be made of the same metal material, I suspect all tools with any metal construction are not dishwasher safe. I really hope I don’t have to replace these eventually with another collection of mismatched kitchen tools.
