I love these scissors. They’re perfect for all sorts of kitchen work and very sharp. This is my third pair which brings us to the low marks on value. On my other two pair, after about two years, the handle cracks at the bottom. Straight through. The scissors are still fine though and I end up using them in the garden until the handle gives out completely. I don’t see any change in these compared to my last pair but they are the best kitchen scissors I’ve found.

Nice sharp scissors, they are just a little too large for my hands though. They come apart easily for cleaning. The first few times you use these scissors, they are a little on the stiff side. They do loosen up after a few uses, but not very much. Compared to other brands I have used, these feel much more stable. I like the herb strippers on the blades also.

These scissors are very well made. the metal is shiny and sharp and the plastic is sturdy and provides great grip for both small hands and large. I use these in the kitchen but I also have a garden, so instead of peeling or ripping my plants apart to cook with them, I just take these scissors outside, snip a branch or leaf and I’m done. they are easy to clean and still look good. I plan on keeping these for a very long time.

I despaired of ever finding a kitchen scissor that would have a working life longer than a few months and, to be honest, I still cannot yet verify whether these Oxo scissors will stay the course but they have started in a very promising way. For a start they are well made, apart from the glue that holds the logo on, that fell off on day two!The micro serrations of one of the blades seem to improve cutting performance drastically. Separable blades are a rarity these days but they shouldn’t be. Not only do separable blades make the scissors easy to clean it might also mean that the blades can be sharpened if they ever dull.In use – see video – I find the scissors generally good but they are a touch small for my hands and it is a squeeze to get four fingers to grip comfortably. The cushioned grip is a nice touch though. I would never have gone looking for an herb stripper but I have used the built in one and it works very well. It is fast, efficient and easy to use. If these scissors prove as promising in the long term as they are now then I will be buying more of them as the other kitchen scissors fail.

I have made the discovery and you can too. These OXO products are amazing. I got the set of six Good Grips Kitchen Essentials a few weeks ago and found them to be excellent tools. We needed a good pair of scissors for the kitchen so we got these knowing that they would be perfect. They truly are. The grips are good! Actually better than good, they are great. They are sharp and have serrated edges on the cutting blades. They have cut through everything we have thrown at them so far including cardboard, packing materials (the one’s that are so hard to get open), plastic, and rope. They have an herb stripper near the handles that work well and they are the perfect size. We are very pleased with these scissors and all of the OXO tools we own.

The scissors come apart far too easily. I don’t know if this was mentioned in the description but if I had known they are not permanently joined I would not have bought them.

OXO’s Good Grip Kitchen and Herb Stainless Steel Sissors are just what my family needed. These sissors are easy to handle with padded handles for a secure comfortable grip. The blades are micro serrated for positive grip to cut cardboard, twine, meat, vegetables, flowers, herbs and more. There are herb strippers which work wonderfully. The sissors break apart for easy hand washing as dishwasher is not recommended.

These are very sharp and durable shears. They will cut most anything you want to cut in the kitchen from those packages that come in the mail that you can’t tear open to the most tender herbs. The handles of the scissors are comfortable and have an inside pad that makes them easy to cut with. They come apart easily for cleaning. Between the handles is an area for cutting herbs. The blades are serrated to keep them from slipping. These should last for years to come.

OXO’s Good Grips Stainless Steel Kitchen and Herb Scissors are a tool you will always want within reach. For years I have been using a pair of basic office supply scissors in the kitchen. Although they have served me well, I decided it was time to get the right tool for the job. The Oxo kitchen scissors are great. They have a nice sturdy weight in the hand and boy are they sharp.I find using scissors in the kitchen are a great time saver and make easier cleanup versus pulling out a cutting board chef knife. Cutting meat, vegetables, herbs, I use scissors as much if not more than I use a knife. These Oxo scissors get the job done. The built-in herb stripper makes taking the leaves off of thyme a breeze. The biggest surprise was that the blades can be separated for better cleaning. A simple twist and they come right apart and reversing the same motion they go right back together. I see years and years of use from these scissors. Not recommended for the dishwasher and should not be allowed to soak in water.

I was hesitant when these scissors indicated “easily cut thru cardboard, twine, meat, veggies, etc., but when I proceeded to test it on cardboard, it was like slicing thru a piece of fabric. It was amazing. Such precision on the blades, and they built other nice features into this unique instrument. They can be separated by spreading the blades till the center nut is in the open position, and with ease, you just lift them apart for cleaning. Also handy is the herb stripper located just after the blades and before the finger handles. The cushioned grips are also an asset with today’s competetive tools. One recommendation they alert you to is to wash them by hand – NOT IN THE DISHWASHER. Other than that, it’s a definite winner in your kitchen.
