I make bread the old-fashioned way. A bowl, a spatula, and a counter top. Once in a while if the dough I was working was really slack, I’d use a bench scraper to unstick and help turn it, which has left some scratches in my solid surface counter. At first I though this mat might be too small, but it’s plenty big enough. My mom had a Tupperware mat that came out every holiday season, and while it had many of the same handy information and markings, it would slowly slide away and she’d have to pull it back. This one stays put! It’s interesting how it can be both sticky and non-stick at the same time, but while the mat stayed perfectly placed, my dough barely stuck at all. I didn’t need the scraper! I haven’t tried it in the oven yet, but expect the performance to be just as good.

The Good Grips Baking Pastry Mat is and excellent product for the kitchen. It is made of silicone which is food safe and also protects your counter top during baking prep. The best feature is that it grips the countertop…no more sliding around or curled edges. It also has nice markings (circle and ruler) for uniformity and fit in baking pans. It also has a substitution chart for commonly used baking ingredients. The mat easily releases from the counter top and is easily cleaned…dishwasher safe. It fold up nicely for easy storage. A must have item for your kitchen.

Good Grips has made a heavy, well-sized pastry baking mat. I especially like the guide lines if you’re rolling out a pie crust. Sometimes it’s a struggle to actually end up with a round piece of pie dough but with the circular guide lines, it’s much easier. Also, there’s a chart about measurements and substitutions (e.g. one of them is how to turn regular milk into buttermilk if your recipe calls for it and you don’t stock your refrigerator with buttermilk. It does the job and dough easily releases from it if you’re making cookies or pies.

Since we moved south my wife has been rolling out pie crusts on the counter top. When I saw the offer for a pastry sheet that had all the many sizes outlined I thought that is just what she needs. The no slip feature makes this pastry sheet just the best for rolling out any desert you want to make. Will not slide around on your counter. When you are finished just pick it up and take it to the sink for easy clean up.

My wife is an avid baker and tried out this silicone baking mat. As a baking mat it works as well as other more expensive ones she owns. The mat creates a nice non-stick surface and is easy to clean-up.She really liked the the diameter markings on this mat — makes it easy to roll out pie or tart dough to a specific size without other tools. The measurement conversions might be nice for some cooks, but my wife didn’t find them all that important. It is also nice that the mat can be run through the dishwasher to clean off residues. Remember not to cut with a knife on it, the mat is not a cutting surface.

Great baking mat that is useful, sturdy, and high quality. We have granite counter tops so our previous baking mat slid around and drove us crazy. This silicone mat stays in place, but pulls up easily. It also rolls up well and when unrolled lays completely flat so keeping it rolled around your rolling pin is not an issue. Inside you’ll see that it is reinforced with a nylon-type material which keeps it flexible, but does not stretch. And being oven safe you can leave the cookies on it while they bake!

The OXO Good Grips Silicone Baking Pastry Mat definitely offers a firm grip that doesn’t move. Recently I started to making homemade pizzas. We had a small plastic mat that my wife used when making pastries or cookies. The problem was it was too small my pizzas, so I was quite happy when I found this mat. Its dishwasher safe, but i have yet to figure out how to position it properly in our dishwasher – so I just clean it the old fashion way. It is also printed with ways to measure your creations which comes in handy. Nice mat.

I love this silicone baking pastry mat. I think the silicone mats are the best–food slides off easily, less mess to clean up. But this one takes it to the next level with all the helpful information printed directly on the map. It has a ruler border, unit conversions, dough diameters, substitution suggestions, etc. Plus, the mat is generously sized. I have some mats and they don’t come near the edges of my baking sheets which feels like a waste of space. This is also dishwasher safe which is great. Two thumbs up.

This is basically a conversion chart or a guide? Anyway, it is made of a silicone and is non slip, I mean this really grips to your counter top. My wife has made pizza and used this as a guide because it shows different sizes from 6 inches to 14 inches. I am not sure how long it will last for but it seems to be made of a decent quality silicone. It says dishwasher safe which is fine but also says oven safe, I am a bit dubious on that one.
