The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because it’s too small to hold an entire bag of brown sugar. Maybe they do have a larger size with the softener stone in it; I would absolutely give that 5 stars!! Other than that, this container is sleek, easy to clean, air tight, and the softener stone that keeps brown sugar from drying out is genius. I love every one of my OXO POP containers!!

I really like this container. I’ve been using pop containers for a while, and this one is perfect for brown sugar. It looks small, but it fits a whole bag of sugar. Adding the ceramic ring really helps keep it soft as well. Great product.

I live in Florida and the humidity is no joke here. I have had brown sugar and salt turn into giant boulders within weeks of opening a new package. This pop container is truly the BEST invention ever!! I love that it comes with a ring for brown sugar. I honestly didn’t know you had to soak the ring before you use it as well. Now my brown sugar stays so soft and moist. It sounds silly but it really is like Christmas each time I go to use it now. It’s excited to not waste sugar or salt any longer.

Until recently brown sugar was just another thin plastic bag in my pantry with a clip to secure the content, sometimes it would dry up and get those undesirable little hard lumps that would make it harder to use it for baking. I recently got my hands on one of the new OXO Pop containers including a disc to help brown sugar stay moist, and so far I must say I’m impressed, it looks good, it’s dishwasher safe and it’s a handy size.I would definitely recommend the new OXO Pop containers!

This is a review of the 1.1 quart Good Grips POP container.It is a quality container. Made of high quality plastic and the pop lid is surprisingly airtight.I plan to use this container mainly as a small to medium for pantry items, ie, pasta, flour, sugar etc.Unbeknownst to me, this container is specifically made for storage of 1 pound packages of brown sugar. On the underside of the lid is a terra cotta disc, that you soak in water first, then after pouring in the brown sugar, you put on the lid. The moisture from the wet disc is absorbed by the brown sugar, thus keeping the sugar soft and scoopable.With the addition of the POP lid feature, the near airtight seal created by the lid, makes this container quite a unique item.You’ll always have fresh and bug free brown sugar, you can store in your pantry or countertop, in a good looking container!
