This is a quick and easy way to boil water without using a microwave oven or a stove. The base units and the bottom of the kettle remains cool to the touch so will not affect counter top or table. Fill with water to desired level (maximum is nearly 2 Quarts), close the lid, put on base, press switch. The switch lights and water starts to simmer in 2 minutes, goes to a roiling boil like I have rarely seen.

Wow, we have always used a tea kettle on the stove but this product has given us a new outlook on how to get Tea and Hot Chocolate going! We were able to boil a 60oz kettle of in about 6 minutes! The Kettle is stylish and looks great on the counter top. Easy to clean and the fact that you can take it right from the base to table top without the needs of a trivet or something to protect that surface is a GREAT bonus. I can’t tell you how many times we have had company ruin our table top putting a hot pot of water down on it. Worth the investment!

The kettle heats up water very fast compared to my old one. I’m very happy with the way it operates and the way it looks. It has an auto shut off after it boils so if you forget the kettle no need to worry about it. This is cordless, but the base needs to be plugged in in order to heat up the kettle, but once the water is hot, you can remove the kettle from its base, making it cordless to use and take to the table.

This kettle is truly incredible! It took about 7.5 minutes to boil 60 oz of cold tap water. If that alone is not enough to state how great this machine is then I have more. The kettle is made of glass meaning no strange tastes. The spout has a screen filter to catch any scale or whatever may be in your water. The base stays cool to the touch through the entire boiling operation. Placing the kettle on the base, and subsequently removing the kettle from the base, are both easy and there is no sticking or dislodging required. The on/off switch lights up when the kettle is on, and then automatically turns off after the water has reached a rolling boil. Lastly, watching the water boil is really interesting. This product is made in China.

Have owned many a water kettle and this is the best so far. I love the see through glass so you know how much is left. The light up power switch that lets you know it is on and the fact that it has an auto-shut off when the water has reached a rolling boil so you do not have to stand by and watch the kettle . So easy to lift off the power base so it is cord free pouring and will boil a quart of water in under 4 min so it is quick and easy as well. Even has a filter in the pour spout to catch any built up lime scale if you live in an area with hard water. The base has easy wrap around cord storage and the lid is soft close and easy push button open . I could find no faults with this unit.

Warm up the baby’s bottle? CheckCook up some ramen? CheckTea/Coffee? CheckJumpstart a pot of boiling water? CheckI can’t seem to stop using this kettle – I’ve even used it enough to have to descale it twice in the 2 months I’ve owned it. The kettle boils water quickly and the glass makes it easy to see the processThings I like1.) Fast boiling water2.) Easy to clean3.) Clear measure on the side to only fill as much water as needed4.) Nice, crisp looking white LED when it’s on5.) Autooff once it reaches boiling6.) Great sizeThings that could use improvement1.) Not easy to get the last bit of water out (I like to put it away dry)2.) The glass sides show off the boiling which attracts kids – but glass also conducts heat well. That’s a life lessonAll in all I love this kettle – I’ve picked up two for friends as house warming gifts!

I love this kettle! It’s stainless Steele and black design fits in perfectly with the other appliances in the kitchen and the clean glass enables you to easily see when it needs to be refilled. The on switch lights up when the kettle is in use and the button on the handel allows for the lids to open slowly. Nice wide mouth enables easy filling from your kitchen faucet.

We recently downsized from our home with built-in instant hot to an apartment. But with my new OXO electric kettle, I still have instant hot!

Only had it a couple days so far. It’s working well. Seems to boil for several seconds before turning off. Got it because consumer reports said that it was the best model in terms of being easy to clean, but it doesn’t seem as easy as I was hoping since the top part is not removable.

I’ve had this electric kettle for a couple months now and just love it. I drink hot tea 2 – 3 times daily, and this has cut the time for me to get that perfect cuppa down by a ton! You’re probably NOT supposed to do this, but I’ll prepare the max amount of water (60 oz) and pop 4 of my PG Tips Gold teabags directly into the kettle and the tea turns out really lovely and strong. Once a week or so, I’ve given it a good rinse with water and then follow with a cup of vinegar to remove any possible deposits, swishing it about for a bit. The little strainer can get stained with tea, so I’ll soak that in a cup of water and oxyclean and the stains come off completely. I love this kettle! And love that I can get a fresh cuppa with very little effort.

Well, this is an efficient way to boil some water. I was really surprised at how quickly it worked and how easy it was to boil some water in this electric kettle. The best part was, I didn’t have to get a pan out and put it on the stove, and I was able to do other things while the water was boiling. When the water is finished, it shuts itself off!The pitcher on this unit is a very nice looking clear glass, and it is accented with very nice brushed nickel. The pitcher feels substantial, and seems to be a quality item. The base is small and lightweight, and easy to slip out of the way if you want to leave it out. I personally put the whole thing away when I was done with it. It took about 7 minutes to bring a full pitcher to a rolling boil, and was very easy and convenient to make water for tea, hot cocoa, and I even used it for instant mashed potatoes.
