My partner and I were long time fans of coffee makers that combine a grinding feature for super flavorful coffee. Unfortunately we found ourselves disappointed with these appliances because the humidity created by brewing caused constant jams, required cleaning after nearly every use and eventually broke. What a pain! After our last maker died we decided to purchase a drip coffee maker but missed freshly ground beans. We knew burr grinders were best, but I fretted that having two coffee gadgets required would be trouble. We were so pleased with this grinder the moment we opened the box. What genius put simplified directions ON THE INSIDE FLAP OF THE BOX? Everything should come in such easy packaging with accessible directions like this! There is an ample manual for really getting the most out of it, but it’s so easy to pop open the box and start using it-a key for very tired parents! We’ve tweaked our grind size and time-extremely easy to do! We love the simple design with a clear top for spotting how many beans are in the hopper, clearly visible numbers for grind size and a dial for the timer. The cup fits pretty snuggle with a lid under the chute although we have found that we end up with a small amount of grounds occasionally on the counter, it’s minimal and might be due to our anxiousness to get the coffee going. The black and brushed metal looks great on the counter and footprint is small enough under my cabinets that I don’t mind leaving it out, and I’m a little picky about kitchen clutter.All in all, we are very happy with the grinder. I can’t speak to very long time use but over several weeks we are problem free and seeing how well built it is I anticipate it lasting a long time to come!

Wow, this Conical Burr Coffee Grinder by OXO is amazing. It is so much quieter than our last coffee grinder too. It has a sleek design that looks clean and neat enough to be left on the counter. You can find just the right grind easily and really stepped up the coffee here. Easy to operate and clean and the directions are very simple. It has a one touch start too. I am a coffee snob. I purchased this grinder after seeing all the positive reviews on all sites. Im so thrilled!First of all – the bean capacity of the hopper is fantastic. I just hate small hoppers. It holds just under a pound of beansNext – the noise level is great, my old grinder sounded like a chain saw, I kid you not….no more mornings of having to take my grinder into the garage in order not to wake everyone!and latly! – The Grounds container! Anti-Static, no more grounds all over the counter….you just grind and pour your grounds into your filter from the whole on top of the container…you dont need to remove the lid. You will have to play around with the timer mechanism in order to get desired amount per pot…but no big deal. Once its dialed in, you are good to go!I love this Grinder!!!It has a 2 year warranty, so i am thrilled!OXO Grinder! xoxoxoxox thank you!

This is a well-rated conical grinder and it’s performance has held true to the research I did prior to making this purchase thus far. I really appreciate its adjustability – grind coarseness can be fine-tuned to pretty much any situation and it will grind for up to 30 seconds at a time. 20 seconds gives me enough coffee for a full pot on a 10-cup brewer.The only issue I would point out is that this thing is LOUD. Yes, it is a coffee grinder – you don’t expect these things to fall in the “quiet” category by any stretch of the imagination. But, for some reason, I find this grinder to be exceptionally loud. I purchased it for use in my office and I have to take care to grind during off-hours, which is usually fine as I start my day early with coffee before most others are in the office. I do my grinding with my door closed, though!

As advertised, the unit holds about 3/4 Lbs. of coffee beans. It has two adjustments, one for the fineness of the grind, and the other how long it runs, controlling the amount of coffee ground per operation. It takes a little experimentation to get the fineness right and the time (amount of coffee ground) but once it’s set, you get the same portion and fineness of grind every time. Simply push the start button, wait until it stops and that’s it. A consistent pot of coffee every morning!
