This particular hard drive arrived a month after I ordered it. When I took it out of the box, it made rattling sounds, which is probably not a good thing. I contacted B&H customer service and they told me they were unable to accept a return on this product. I then contacted Oyen customer service and they were extremely helpful. They sent me a shipping label to return it directly to them and I ordered a replacement directly through Oyen. I had purchased one of these hard drives before, directly from Oyen and never had an issue. I’m not sure what the problem was with this particular device, but thankfully the manufacturer was super helpful in getting this taken care of.

I have M1 MB Air and use it with Samsung 870QVO. It freeze when opened DaVinch. When i use other SSD reader it is not problems.

I purchased this to house an old 2.5 SSD. It runs fast, the SSD does not overheat, and it wasn’t that difficult to install. Comes with a USBA cable that has an attached USB-C adapter. I would probably buy this again, but I hope they release an updated 3.2 version or whatever is newer.

Made out of metal not plastic, which is really nice. It was easy to assemble; though I wouldn’t put the rubber feet over the screws on the bottom, just in case I want to replace the drive in the future. While editing, I noticed it was making a lot of noise. It’s not very loud, but it is louder than my Samsung T5 SSD. Could be the SSD I installed in it, but I don’t have any other drives to put in and test it out. Overall, it’s a really solid design and I had no problems with the connection while editing and backing up projects. Will probably buy again when I need another enclosure.

We do tons of video editing with FCPX in our studio and on the road. This gives us a great drive to take some rather large projects with us. It is compact and very fast in operations. Will buy it again if more space is needed.

I purchased one of these a while back, did extensive performance along with modest durability testing and went back for 10 more. using esata I moved data at 900MB/s non-burst. The performance of USB3 was somewhere around half or slightly less. Our use is within traveling exhibitory.

I had an old 2.5 hard drive that I had salvaged out of a failed SeaGate enclosure. The problem with this hard drive was that it was an odd size, 15mm tall, so I was extremely limited in my choices for enclosures, and this seemed to be one of the only ones that could accommodate it. This little enclosure is great. It’s constructed fully out of aluminum, no flimsy plasticky parts in here. Very easy to install, hard drive fits perfectly, and sits very secure inside the enclosure. I don’t feel worried picking the thing up, throwing it into a bag and taking it place to place. When it’s all set up I get very fast read and write speeds as promised, limited only by your hard drive RPM or your SSD rating.

For throwing in a gear bag or just everyday protection, the MiniPro is rugged and well made. The SSD from my old PC fit perfectly and I was using it in just a couple of minutes.
