   Direct connect to my video camera and dvr to copy digital tapes to disc. Lost old cable and not available in local stores. works much better than usb computer connection for video transfer.

   In the foggy world of the Internet, it is pleasantly surprising to find a company that makes a product that works exactly as advertised. Simplicity combined with efficiency and quality is a video-makers dream. This product does exactly that. I own many cameras including a Canon HV20 and a Sony HDR Fx7: Both using firewire to transfer video to computer. The desktop came with a receptacle for a regular firewire and the laptop has accommodations for the 4 pin firewire. At first the performance would be compromised, but I was wrong. It worked beautifully!

   Solid cables. These have a rubbery coating on the outside and connect solidly to any computer.
