The Pearstone USB 2.0 Type A Male to Type A Female Cable (10′) is a premium quality cable that extends your existing USB device by 10′ (3 m). It meets all specifications of USB 2.0 and is backward compatible with USB 1.1 devices. This premium extension cable supports error-free data transfer rates of up to 480 Mbs.
Braided copper shielding and an aluminum foil wrap protects against electromagnetic and radio interference and ensures a clean signal transfer, even with large files at high speed. The connectors are hot pluggable and install with Plug-and-Play ease.

When setting up a sound booth, reducing background noise is good. So… Placing your computer (and its loud fan) at a distance helps, but it can/will diminish the function of your wireless mouse and keyboard. With these cables you can have it both ways – your computer can be distanced from your mic and the dongles to your mouse and keyboard can be kept close.

Sony’s latest small camcorders are powered by battery or USB power plugged into wall outlet. I saw a 16′ USB extender at a salvation army and bought that. It works perfectly, that used one. I then wanted another cable, so I bought this Pearstone 16′ extender. It will not power up the Sony CX camcorder. I don’t know why. I tried everything. It powers up when I use the other extender, but not when I use the Pearstone. ….but if I want to use it to extend my cellphone cable, it works.
