What can I say? It’s a USB cable – not much to it. What I can say is that it is a pretty good quality cable (no issues so far) and it was surprisingly cheap. It’s outrageous what they want to charge for some of these cables in local stores. Pretty good value for the money.

The USB3.x port would interfere with the wireless keyboard/mouse signals if it’s plug next to the USB3.0 ports, but it’s how all PC/laptop designed nowadays (USB2.x ports next to USB3.x ports). Thus the mouse and keyboard sometimes acting weird. So solve the issue, it’s suggested to separate wireless keyboard/mouse connector away from USB3.0 port, and this cable is the answer to it. It’s a well made cable, and it’s long enough to keep the connector far far far away from any USB3.0 ports. I have not experience any mouse/keyboard malfunction ever since.

I used this to connect a Xbox Kinect to my computer from a distance. Works perfectly. No flickering, no data loss. I was pleasantly surprised. Ps.: The Kinect has an external power source. If your device doesn’t, get a powered USB hub, as advised in the specs.

Setting up an airport extreme in a good area of the office where we get maximum coverage requires moving it away from the printing room. This was impossible because maximum printer cable length is about 12 feet. Then a nice B&H salesman informed me that there was an extension cable with a booster which allowed me to move the wireless base station to an excellent location so all computers get the signal. This is only one big benefit having B&H a few blocks from my house.

My new Lacie external DVD burner came with two USB cables in case it needed extra power. Mine did, but my Mac powerbook pro, 2.16 Ghz has only one port on each side and the Lacie cables are not long enough to reach. This product solved that issue. However, I still have a problem with the drive. Almost every other time I use it the computer defaults to the computers DVD burner, which has an optical problem. So I have to reset the Pram every time this happens in order for the computer to default to the Lacie. Shouldn’t be this way.
