The Pearstone USB 2.0 Type A Male to Type B Mini Male Cable (10′) is a premium quality USB cable that is fully compatible with USB 2.0 specifications, backward compatible with USB 1.1 devices, and supports error-free data transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps. It features a type A male connector on one end and a mini type B male on the other end.
Braided copper shielding and an aluminum foil wrap protects against electromagnetic and radio interference and ensures a clean signal transfer. The connectors are hot pluggable and install with Plug-and-Play ease. Additionally, this cable is RoHS compliant, UL rated and FCC certified.

I used this product to tether my D7000 to the CaptureOne and Lightroom. It worked fine, and is well built. The only problem I had was my camera’s energy saving settings put it in standby mode which often created a hiccup in studio shooting. So if you plan to use this cord for tethering, I suggest making sure your camera is set for that function.

If you want to control the camera thru your computor or lap top, download a program that allows you to hook up your camera via USB cable. You then take and review your pictues on your computor screen, giving you a large view of what you just photographed. The camera is now controlled via your downloaded program. The picture is now as large as your computor screen so you really have a wonderful way to examine the picture and correct any errors in the picture or retake it.
