The 10′ Pearstone Type A Male to Type A Female Extension Cable provides a reliable way to connect USB devices to your computer for charging and data transfer. The cable allows you to benefit from the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed maximum transfer rate of 5 Gbps, which is ten times faster than USB 2.0.
This premium cable features two unidirectional paths that simultaneously transmit and receive data. With a maximum throughput of 900 mA for configured high power devices, the cable is capable of powering bigger devices that require more energy. Additionally, USB 3.0 standard type A connectors are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 standard A — as long as one of the devices is USB 3.0 compliant.

I like the cord, and it has come in handy. Nice price too.

While the inside connected does show blue indicating USB 3.0, other cables I have purchased from other sourced have the entire length of the cable blue. It is a visual aid to have the cable be all blue, but functionally no problem with this item.

Bought the 10ft, got USB 1.1 speeds from it on 4 different drives. My solid state drive topped out at 12.1mb/s. My 3 HDD’s maxed out at 8.8mb/s. Probably a bad cable. Returned it, but won’t buy another one at that length or this brand to be safe and save my time. Especially if it ends up being an manufacturing issue.

Sturdy cable that gives me a bit of extra length when I need it. So far, it has worked very well.

The Pearstone USB extension cables are well made. The 15′ one is handy when one needs a longer length than the ones that typically come with an external hard drive or printer.

I purchased this for my USB 3.0 hub to extend the distance of it. I plugged the hub into the end and my USB devices were detected fine. From my observation speeds are the same with or without the extension cable. The cable also has a decent width to it and feels sturdy.

So I originally bought this for my desktop to plug in external harddrives without having to balance my hard drive on the desktop since they came with cables less than 1′ long. This cable has worked great for USBs but it didn’t work for my external SSD. It kept causing my comp to freeze when transferring data. Did a straight connection to the SSD and worked flawlessly.

Pearstone seems to make really solid cables. I’ve now bought 3 of their swiveling HDMI cables, and decided to go with them again for this USB extension cable. Yet again, they deliver just fine. Nothing jumps out at me as being wrong with the cable. It’s well made, fairly sturdy for a cable, and pretty inexpensive for what you get.

Sometimes you need more than 6 or 10 feet between your computer and you USB device. One can usually go up to 16 feet without a problem but if you need to go farther than that you need a high quality cable with a booster to ensure that your data arrives intact. Whether connecting hard drives, printers or tethering cameras, longer cables more susceptible to interference, data loss and and diminished voltage and can wreak havoc on your files. One can protect oneself by investing in a quality cable like this.

I’m using it for my usb3 wifi dongle. Working great. Very happy with the quality built.

I purchased this item to give me extra length when needed. So far, I haven’t needed it. The other Pearstone USB 3.0 6-foot cable I purchased is working fine and gives me the length I need. I have no doubts this extension cable will also provide great results!

I only have two USB 3.0 terminals on my desktop and they are both on the rear, very difficult to reach. This was a solution and doesn’t slow down the SanDick Extreme 3.0 flash disk.

My Extreme SanDisk arrived equipped with only a 4 inch connector – B&H solved the problem with this USB extender!

Compared to my old 2.0, this one is very heavy duty. So far, so good.
