The 10′ Pearstone Type A Male to Type A Female Extension Cable provides a reliable way to connect USB devices to your computer for charging and data transfer. The cable allows you to benefit from the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed maximum transfer rate of 5 Gbps, which is ten times faster than USB 2.0.
This premium cable features two unidirectional paths that simultaneously transmit and receive data. With a maximum throughput of 900 mA for configured high power devices, the cable is capable of powering bigger devices that require more energy. Additionally, USB 3.0 standard type A connectors are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 standard A — as long as one of the devices is USB 3.0 compliant.

I didn’t want to purchase any cable but in the end of purchasing B&H suggested me this cable as a very necessary thing and I purchased it. When I received my package I thought: Why did I purchase this cable? But I understand very soon that Pearstone USB 3.0 Type A Male to Type A Female Extension Cable I can use for connecting HDD 2’5 with my TV. HDD 2’5 have very short cables and I should put under HDD the books or any box that cable can be switch in the TV.

I bought this 15′ USB cable to connect a Wacom tablet, model CTL 460, to my iMac. I need the length to accommodate a mirrored-monitor second workstation (one standing, one sitting.) The continuous 15′ cord is apparently too long to communicate to the Wacom tablet. However, a 9′ cord extended with a 6′ cord works great. In my troubleshooting I tried a 15′ USB extension cord purchased from Amazon and that one didn’t work either. My research informed me that long USB extension cords can be problematic.

For work we ordered close to 15 of these for use: – 5 days a week – 8 hours a day – tethered to a 5D Mark IV and an iMac – take around 1100 large jpeg shots a day per cable Within 1 week we had 2 cables stop working. The blue light stays on for both but computers don’t detect anything connected to them. Replace the cable with a new one and it works fine. A couple weeks later we had 3 more cables go bad. Some just don’t work and some work with constant disconnection issues. Replace the cable with a new one and everything works fine again. I can go buy super cheep monoprice cables and they will last longer than these expensive cables. I would not recommend these. Now to find a more reliable cable after spending over $700 on these.

The original 6 foot cable didn’t work. Called customer service and they OKd a replacement at no charge. I asked that a 3 foot cable be sent instead of the 6 foot one. They OKd that too. The 3 footer works perfectly. Thank you B+H.
