The black 16′ Pearstone USB 3.0 Extension Cable with Booster features active electronics that boost the USB signal to prevent data loss, allowing you to connect your USB-enabled devices over 60′ away (using multiple booster cables, sold separately) and still take advantage of the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed maximum transfer rate of 5Gbps. Without a booster, the USB signal begins to degrade after 15′. If you’re using a USB device that requires full USB power in order to function, make sure to plug the device into a powered USB hub before plugging it into the extension cable.

I needed a short USB extension to get from my hub back to my computer. Three feet was just the right length. It just quietly does whatever I ask of it, from charging an iPod to connecting to my card reader.

I wanted to get a longer cable but it was temporarily out of stock. I just got a couple of these and paired them together. Works beautifully.

Needed an extension for a cycling app and trainer. Works as advertised.

Bought the 10ft, got USB 1.1 speeds from it on 4 different drives. My solid state drive topped out at 12.1mb/s. My 3 HDD’s maxed out at 8.8mb/s. Probably a bad cable. Returned it, but won’t buy another one at that length or this brand to be safe and save my time. Especially if it ends up being an manufacturing issue.

I usually search Amazon for most of my needs, lately I have searched on B&H and found everything I would on Amazon… but cheaper. These cables are great for anything you need a longer USB cable for. Highly recommend buying them, especially from B&H!

Works perfectly. No need guessing.

Works well on our organization’s laptop. At the cables other end, has a Logitech HD webcam connected to it. laptop does not give an error message when using it. HD webcam is USB 2.0. USB hub is 3.0 on the laptop. No error messages when used.

I bought several of these 3′ cables because both my photo and my of computer camera needed to be just a little farther from my computer than the length of the supplied cables. These cables work well and were an economical solution.

I only have USB 3.0 ports on the back of my computer. I use this cable to extend the port to the front so I can connect USB 3.0 thumb drives to my computer. It’s a bit difficult to try to attach the thumb drive by reaching around to the back of the computer where you can’t see what you are doing. This makes it easy.
