The black 16′ Pearstone USB 3.0 Extension Cable with Booster features active electronics that boost the USB signal to prevent data loss, allowing you to connect your USB-enabled devices over 60′ away (using multiple booster cables, sold separately) and still take advantage of the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed maximum transfer rate of 5Gbps. Without a booster, the USB signal begins to degrade after 15′. If you’re using a USB device that requires full USB power in order to function, make sure to plug the device into a powered USB hub before plugging it into the extension cable.

We used this to tether camera to laptop and it was perfect! The connectors fit snuggly but we still used a small piece of gaffers tape to make sure it wasn’t accidentally kicked apart. Cable is sturdy and the connectors are reinforced.

I have a Brother DTG printer which I purchased with a camera alignment system that has been very unreliable since Day-1. The cable that came with the camera was not long enough to reach a computer, even sitting butted up to the printer. The Brother tech that installed our printer recommended an active extension from Amazon. The camera has not been stable from the beginning, requiring a USB reset between almost every snap. This cable has made all the difference in the world. It has never lost connection or display erroneous images. Brother needs to include this in every Acculine order.

Unfinished socket is poor design. I would purchase this again if it were the only one available in the entire world.

Sometimes you need more than 6 or 10 feet between your computer and you USB device. One can usually go up to 16 feet without a problem but if you need to go farther than that you need a high quality cable with a booster to ensure that your data arrives intact. Whether connecting hard drives, printers or tethering cameras, longer cables more susceptible to interference, data loss and and diminished voltage and can wreak havoc on your files. One can protect oneself by investing in a quality cable like this.

Great extensions from USB 3.0 Card.

I purchased this item to give me extra length when needed. So far, I haven’t needed it. The other Pearstone USB 3.0 6-foot cable I purchased is working fine and gives me the length I need. I have no doubts this extension cable will also provide great results!

Exactly what we needed. The key was knowing that Male to Female means it is a normal extension cable for a USB mouse, which is how we’re using it. The fit was great and there have been no issues using it.

This is a very reliable charging cable. I like it Sam

Was having trouble accessing the USB ports on the rear of my receiver. This extension allows me to connect the Zip drive on the front of my electronics.
