The black 16′ Pearstone USB 3.0 Extension Cable with Booster features active electronics that boost the USB signal to prevent data loss, allowing you to connect your USB-enabled devices over 60′ away (using multiple booster cables, sold separately) and still take advantage of the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed maximum transfer rate of 5Gbps. Without a booster, the USB signal begins to degrade after 15′. If you’re using a USB device that requires full USB power in order to function, make sure to plug the device into a powered USB hub before plugging it into the extension cable.

Pearstone seems to make really solid cables. I’ve now bought 3 of their swiveling HDMI cables, and decided to go with them again for this USB extension cable. Yet again, they deliver just fine. Nothing jumps out at me as being wrong with the cable. It’s well made, fairly sturdy for a cable, and pretty inexpensive for what you get.

It does what it’s supposed to and does it well

Simply a SS USB Extention. Works Fine, Fast, Nice. Does what it needs to do.

I travel more then most… Over the years these cables from Pearstone have out lasted many brands… Well worth the money…
Aylin Barton (verified owner) –
Sturdy cable that gives me a bit of extra length when I need it. So far, it has worked very well.
Jermain Bernier (verified owner) –
Had a few drops from my WiFi neatgear trying to extending.
Agnes Luettgen (verified owner) –
Good cables at a good price and they have been very reliable for me.

This is a three foot USB 3.0 extension. I’m using it for my Elgato Stream Deck, which probably doesn’t even need 3.0, but I didn’t want to risk it. I have discovered that it performs as 3′ USB 3.0 extension should. It works.
Llewellyn Aufderhar (verified owner) –
Well… it’s a cable.

There isn’t much to say about such an item. It works. Seems well constructed, the connectors were flawless, neither too tight nor loose. Many extension cables are longer, but if you don’t really need the stretch, this one is effective without adding unnecessarily to cable clutter.

excellent product for the price

Compared to my old 2.0, this one is very heavy duty. So far, so good.
Melany Howell (verified owner) –
Worked perfectly to extend the cord on my xbox one x T flight stick for Ace Combat 7
Mohammed Grimes (verified owner) –
These cables start out strong, but after a couple weeks of use stop connecting properly.
Owen Botsford (verified owner) –
Good quality construction.

This was just what I needed after years of struggling with a short cable. Good product. Thank you!

Nicely made USB 3.0 capable extension cable. Handles high data rate without any issues. Reasonably well made.
Kelsi Abshire (verified owner) –
Much of the time, this extension worked. But suddenly a random assortment of iOS devices would rapidly connect and disconnect, a couple of times per second. But other iOS devices would connect fine. The problem turned out to be this extension cable; the socket is too loose. I can only imagine the data corruption that might result from plugging a thumbdrive into this thing and having it fail during a write. Who knows how many obscure problems it has already caused.
Ebba Schinner (verified owner) –
Works as expected. You definitely need a signal booster when using a cable this long.
Jaydon Hudson (verified owner) –
needed short cable to provide access to the rear ports… these cables worked fine and there was no speed loss for the portable hard drives. Cables feel substantial, but the exposed female end gives it a cheap appearance a takes away one star.
