The black 23′ Pearstone USB 3.0 Extension Cable with Booster features active electronics that boost the USB signal to prevent data loss, allowing you to connect your USB-enabled devices over 60′ away (using multiple booster cables, sold separately) and still take advantage of the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed maximum transfer rate of 5Gbps. Without a booster, the USB signal begins to degrade after 15′. If you’re using a USB device that requires full USB power in order to function, make sure to plug the device into a powered USB hub before plugging it into the extension cable.

I bought this 15′ USB cable to connect a Wacom tablet, model CTL 460, to my iMac. I need the length to accommodate a mirrored-monitor second workstation (one standing, one sitting.) The continuous 15′ cord is apparently too long to communicate to the Wacom tablet. However, a 9′ cord extended with a 6′ cord works great. In my troubleshooting I tried a 15′ USB extension cord purchased from Amazon and that one didn’t work either. My research informed me that long USB extension cords can be problematic.

What can I say about a USB extension cord?! Looks and feels well made. Most importantly, it worked right out if the box. Connectors connected snugly so blah blah blah 😉

Wished they sold a shorter cable, but it works fine and I left the cable ties on the coil to avoid tangles.
Gregg Parker (verified owner) –
the cable would not let my ear piece charge not happy

Data transfer. It never hurts to have a few extra cables around.

The cable does what I expected from it. Fast transfer of info without loss.

Works as advertised, allowing the copying of 134GB to a WD MyPassport Wireless Pro connected via USB3.0 in one hour. If that doesn’t seem terribly fast, these are almost all small photo and short video files. Helpful to extend the very short (about 20cm/8) USB cable that came with the WD MyPassport Wireless Pro.

I bought this Pearstone USB 3.0 Type A Male to Type A Female Extension Cable – 15′ version to extend the USB 3.0 cable that comes with my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, for the purpose of tethering. It’s GREAT. The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV comes with a USB 3.0 designed and the port is designed with a . If you’ve ever used Tethertools 15′ cables for tethering and a Jerkstopper, then you’re gonna love this: The Canon IFC-150U II USB 3.0 Interface Cable for DSLRs that comes with the Canon 5D Mark IV has a cable protector contraption that literally screws into the side of the body by design, and works like the Jerkstopper ought to work like. They do sell a long version of this cord, but it’s not what comes in box with the body. This is an affordable alternative to still make use of that cable for this matter. I decided to do this to avoid buying extra cables and plus, if I’m not using this for tethering, it can be used for other applications as I need. The quality of the cable is trustworthy and the connection seems perfect. It tethers as it should, with speed. I hope this helps! =

I bought it to extend the reach my USB3 card reader to the back of my Mac Pro. It works fine without any issues.

This is a three foot USB 3.0 extension. I’m using it for my Elgato Stream Deck, which probably doesn’t even need 3.0, but I didn’t want to risk it. I have discovered that it performs as 3′ USB 3.0 extension should. It works.

I bought several of these 3′ cables because both my photo and my of computer camera needed to be just a little farther from my computer than the length of the supplied cables. These cables work well and were an economical solution.

I purchased this 6′ Pearstone USB 3 Extension Cable to extend the reach from my computer to a Lenovo 3.0 Secure Hard Drive, which was functioning fine with a 3′ extension cable. The Pearstone is advertised to handle both charging and data transfer. It did light up the secure hard drive; however, when the code was entered on the hard drive to initiate a hand shake, the drive consistently went dark and ceased communicating with the Pearstone. It may be that his hard drive is too demanding to work with any cable over 3′ without active assistance – although 6′ is still pretty short. But, this Pearstone cable did not do the job.

I dj on Twitch and needed to reach a) my camera with an hdmi capture card attached, and b) a little midi button stream controller thing lol. Worked exactly as I had hoped for both. Makes for a clean and efficient setup

Unfinished socket is poor design. I would purchase this again if it were the only one available in the entire world.

It works great with the USB 3.0 cable provided with the D810.

Made it easy to plug memory card into back of computer without going around to the back. Not a life-changing product, but worth the money, for sure.

Nicely made USB 3.0 capable extension cable. Handles high data rate without any issues. Reasonably well made.
