The black 23′ Pearstone USB 3.0 Extension Cable with Booster features active electronics that boost the USB signal to prevent data loss, allowing you to connect your USB-enabled devices over 60′ away (using multiple booster cables, sold separately) and still take advantage of the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed maximum transfer rate of 5Gbps. Without a booster, the USB signal begins to degrade after 15′. If you’re using a USB device that requires full USB power in order to function, make sure to plug the device into a powered USB hub before plugging it into the extension cable.

Pearstone seems to make really solid cables. I’ve now bought 3 of their swiveling HDMI cables, and decided to go with them again for this USB extension cable. Yet again, they deliver just fine. Nothing jumps out at me as being wrong with the cable. It’s well made, fairly sturdy for a cable, and pretty inexpensive for what you get.

Needed USB3 cables to run from PC rear to front and these are the right length and worked with no lost speed. Both flash and portable hard drive performed as if plugged in directly.

This USB 3.0 works Great with USB 3.0 devices.

It does what it’s supposed to and does it well

I am using it to connect 7 external hard drives to my computer and it works perfectly. All 7 drives function simultaneously, connected to this cable through 2 usb hubs.

extend my hub to my computer.

I’m using it for my usb3 wifi dongle. Working great. Very happy with the quality built.

I purchased this cable to connect a desktop to an Anker USB hub which is routinely switched between one of three computers, depending on which is needed at the time. The included Anker cable is about a foot long, which is far too short to reach the desktop. This helped bridge the gap and works perfectly.

I can now easily plug and unplug a flash drive without standing on my head to reach the back of a PC. Quality cable and connectors. Good value.

Well made!

Bought the 10ft, got USB 1.1 speeds from it on 4 different drives. My solid state drive topped out at 12.1mb/s. My 3 HDD’s maxed out at 8.8mb/s. Probably a bad cable. Returned it, but won’t buy another one at that length or this brand to be safe and save my time. Especially if it ends up being an manufacturing issue.

Worked as intended

No problems. I used it to extend some cables that I had but were too short.

I only have USB 3.0 ports on the back of my computer. I use this cable to extend the port to the front so I can connect USB 3.0 thumb drives to my computer. It’s a bit difficult to try to attach the thumb drive by reaching around to the back of the computer where you can’t see what you are doing. This makes it easy.
Horace Hessel (verified owner) –
This cable extension slowed my data transfer rate to a crawl! I don’t know what the answer is for cable length but this isn’t it.
Jovanny Windler (verified owner) –
Had a few drops from my WiFi neatgear trying to extending.
Malika Ankunding (verified owner) –
This is a very study cable. It is heftier than I expected. I don’t plug and re-plug, so this cable will stay as set up. I expect it to last.
Leatha Hintz (verified owner) –
Worked perfectly to extend the cord on my xbox one x T flight stick for Ace Combat 7

I needed a long USB cable to hook up a webcam to a laptop for a hybrid meeting. This cable fit the bill!
