Nice case, rugged and compact, the strap seems a little on the cheap side but the case is small and lightweight so it probably wont be a problem (except that it doesn’t look stylish). The opening hatch is easy and reliable. In case you wonder, it wont fit the Macbook Air 11 (or more specifically 11,6), however if youre in a hurry like I was, checked the pelican website for case fittings, found that its the 1070CC, search the B&H site for pelican 1070, the results of that search actually reads 1075s. Or just read, not like me who just ordered the case not realizing I ordered the wrong case. Eh, well the case fits iPads (wouldt be my first choice for the iPad tough), at least two at the time with room to spare. Still, its a great case if you find the correct size.

Good protective case for just storing the laptop or tablet that you take out in the rough weather or field work. If you also need to carry the laptop’s power supply, you should go up a case size to fit the laptop and power cord. I had to toss most of the foam squares and make a cut-out for the small power cord. Fits is very tight. Pelican needs to make a size in between the 1075 and the 1080.

I ordered this product specifically to protect electronics from impact/debris/water, but I am very disappointed in the quality of manufacture. The size and features of the case are great, but right out of the box the case easily allowed air to leak into and out of the case when gently squeezing it. I never tested in water, but there is no way it would be watertight at any depth for any length of time. Pelican was great to deal with for warranty (friendly, helpful customer service and prompt response and return shipping), but I had to pay to ship it to the warranty location and it hadn’t even been used. The replacement case is moderately better and should be water-resistant, but I definitely won’t be submerging it ever.

This case is perfect for laptops, tablets and firearms. Unfortunately the size of the security holes are too small for any decent padlock. The foam may be adjusted for thicker items.
