Installing a Pelican Water series water filter or water softener has never been easier than with the Pelican Water Whole House Dual Installation Kit. With this helpful kit, there is never any need to deal with the mess of cutting pipes or glue. This convenient install kit uses John Guest Quick fittings. All you need to do is to bring the incoming and outgoing water lines to the John Guest fittings and connect them. In some cases, additional piping and fittings may be needed to bring the incoming and outgoing water lines to the John Guest connections in this kit. Bought this with the PSE 1800 as a replacement system for another brand’s 4 year old system. The plumbing were already in place and this kit made it flexible and easy to connect, saved me a lot of time not having to measure and buy parts for the manifold. I did have to buy a Sharkbit 90 degree angle to connect the supply line to the new pre filter as it stuck out more from the wall. I had to turn the tanks around as the water source was coming from the right side of the system. No biggie, the flexible metal hose made it very easy.

First, the good.. the lines are very heavy duty. You can tell they’re quality and would be last a long time. Next, the bad.. this instillation kit has confusing instructions, which prompted us to call over to Pelican and speak with a technical support agent. After 30 minutes of walking my plumber through how to use this kit with the pelican 10 in. 5 Micron Sediment Filter System and a Pelican Water 80,000 Grain Heavy Duty Water Softener, Black, the agent at Pelican shared that this was not the proper instillation kit for the water softener. Kind of disappointing.

Its worth it, this kit allows you to easily hook the filter and two tanks together and into the house. You need to plumb the input water from the house to the Pre-Filter. This is easily done with PVC.
