We have had the system installed for over a month. The amount of sudsing we get from both soap and shampoo is just right. Being on well water in SE Idaho we have exceptional water for drinking but a softener is a must for washing and bathing. And our new Presby septic system does not allow water from a salt based softener. The Pelican system is perfect.

My wife and I recently purchased a home in VA that was built in 2005. As a hard water mitigation effort, we purchased a Pelican NaturSoft NS6 water filtration and conditioning system in July, 2019 and installed it a few days ago. The hard municipal water (avg. 18 grains) in our area had taken its visible toll on the existing appliances, toilets (tanks and bowls, inner tank flush parts and tile shower stalls. I can only imagine what the interior copper water line surfaces must look like before this new installation. In previous homes, we have lived with several well-water, salt-based, softening systems. In our 47 years of owning 5 homes across the country, we have had maintenance issues and concerns, such as managing water softener unit electrical power hook-ups and manual/electronic controls (and potential system failure-points), early-morning noise from back-wash cycles, the inefficient use and increasing cost of precious water and our continuing concern over our discharge of salt into our environment. After our research into alternative salt-free systems was completed, we were very impressed that the NaturSoft system has so little maintenance requirement and no moving parts. We decided that now was the time to make the switch to the elegantly-designed, simple to install and operate NaturSoft system. It is too soon to tell what the longer-term impact will be in our attempt to prolong home appliance and fixture life, reduce hard water abatement costs and improve efficiency and performance of our whole house water system that will occur over time. We are, however, optimistic on the future results our investment.

I bought the NS-6 last month. I installed it downstream of my house inlet valve, it was very easy to install and takes up very little room. The system is located in my garage and looks great. I followed the directions included for start up and charging the system. So far I can really tell the difference with the soft water, softer towels and no more itchy skin! I Love it!!

This is an amazing water softener. Being pregnant and having little ones under the age of 2 means that I don’t have time to mess around with salt and brine with the water softener we used to have. I was so tired of buying and lugging around salt and having to worry about levels, I asked my husband to find a better solution. He did a ton of research and talked to our builder and neighbors. This systems was recommended hands down, so we bought it and installed it the day it arrived. IT IS AWESOME! First, no more messing with salt and wasting time. Second, I don’t even have to change the softening stuff inside the tank, ever and it’s natural, which is great for our family. Third, this works WAY better than our old, salt softener did. I can absolutely tell the difference in my skin and hair. I can even feel the difference when I’m bathing my children and wash their hair or lather them with soap. It just feels better, not slippery or slimy. It is a superior system and I recommend it to everyone. Also make sure to buy the install kit so you can install at home without having to run out and get a bunch of parts and stuff. It took my husband less than 20 minutes to get this this bad boy in and up and running. He’s not super handy, so if he can do it, you can too.

We did not want a salt-based water softener. Our unit operational for about a month now, and we are already noticing some descaling on fixtures, and noticeable decrease in white spotting, and the spots tend to just wipe off. No change in taste, and no soapy feel. Our water is quite hard (source is well water) We’re satisfied.
