The 10 in. 5 Micron Sediment Filter Replacements (4-Pack) is recommended for homes with heavy sediment. These filters fit the following standard Pelican Water systems: PC600/PC1000, NS3/NS6, PSE1800/PSE2000, and WF4/WF8, WF6/WF10 systems. Helps protect your new filter system and your home appliances from the damaging effects of sediment (dirt and debris) build up. The sediment in city or well water can clog faucets, damage appliances and even change the taste of your drinking water. The pre-filter system filters out particles as small as 5 microns in size.

Yes… The Pelican 10″ 5 micron sediment filters work great. The only problem that I found, was the short lifespan.In just 3 months, I found my water pressure decreasingforcing me to change the filter. You’ll see it when you take a shower and even at your kitchen faucet. So insteadof a 4 – 6 month lifespan, I have 3 months.We’re on a well with the new Pelican PSE1800 system and this was our first filter change.I hope the filter changes last a little longer in the future.

Use as a prefilter for the incoming whole house water system. Prior to the softener. 3 month or better life, extend the life of the softener and who doesn’t like micro filterd water! Also added a Pelican carbon filter. No more chlorine smell or taste. Better health as your body doesn’t have to deal with the chlorine contamination you otherwise would get through your skin with every hot shower. This is coming from a medical professional RN, NTP.
