The Carbon Replacement Media for PC600 Whole House Drinking Water Filter is carbon media for your Pelican Water PC600 filter system. The expired media is environmentally friendly. This process does not require any tools or a plumber. Disconnect the tank from the bypass valve and unscrew the distributor head from the tank by hand, then dump out the expired media. Pour the new replacement media in the tank, follow the start up backwashing and media soak instructions and you’re ready to go.

The directions were easy to understand and follow. The only issue I had was the plug for the internal pipe was found inserted in the hose adapter and I didn’t find it until later. I used tape instead. Please put the plug loose in the bag.

Bought the replacement media kit from a sales person who also sent me a link to a YouTube video to show how it was done. The video walked you through step by step and it was easy. I wish the kit include 2 hose adapters so that the water could be directed away from the filter itself. It did splash water everywhere during the flushing and back flushing procedures. But the overall process was really easy to do.

My system came with the house when I bought it. I’m so thankful that it did. I just had the charcoal and filter changed. The charcoal needs to soak for a day. So we didn’t put new filter on till that was ready. I noticed the difference while brushing my teeth! Ugh! I stopped the ice maker also cause who wants bad tasting ice?
