I purchased the Pelican PSE2000 Premium Whole House Filter-Softener 4-6 Bathroom as speaking withone of their sales techs, Rob Levene, who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. My client was experiencing water stains on the plumbing fixtures, shower doors, etc.. First, I will say that the installation is really very simple, especially with the dual tank installation kit. The entire system took less than 3 hours to install. If you are willing to follow the instructions, you will not go wrong. The soaking of the carbon filter and then the softener takes longer than anything, but once everything was flushed as per the installation guide, it was up and running. I checked in with my customer the day after and she was extremely happy with the difference in the quality of the water and how it felt showering. Because this review is being written only a day after I put it online, I do not have any feedback regarding hard water stains on the fixtures; hence the 4 stars and not 5. However, I will follow-up in 6 months or so and update. I would strongly recommend this product, and will add this to the products and services that I provide to my clientele. Thank you, Pelican.

I live in the country and my old softener was not functioning properly which started to discolor the toilets. I purchased and installed the filter/softener system just recently. It only took a few hours to re-route some of the plumbing for the old system and to install the Pelican system. After cleaning all the toilets with citric acid to remove the old stains, I haven’t had a problem with staining since. I’m really pleased with Pelican system and look forward to years of maintenance free use.

I was nervous to spend this up from when salt system around me were cheaper, but after breaking down prolonged cost these units are the way to go. I was nervous about installation but I did it myself and used the install kit. I had no issues and it’s working great. The water taste great and the water does feel softer. Only 4 stars bc u can’t really test the softness bc how the mechanism works. I can feel a difference I just can’t test and see it. I’m very happy and impressed with the units so far 2weeks in. I would recommend this product for sure
