For some unknown reason our normally clean well water supply became severely contaminated with e-coli. With the Trojan system using the Trojan VUMax UV lamp our water is now completely free of e-coli. Installation is simple and can be accomplished by any individual that has had some experience in plumbing. Space requirements are minimal, enabling my system to be installed in my very cramped utility room (no basement). We have had no problems with the system, other than having to change filters, and are quite happy with it.

Now on my 7th lamp replacement, I am pleased with the new sleeve bolt design that makes lamp replacement much simpler. I have had no problems with the UV lamp and will continue to use them as they make water safe to drink.

It works, what can I say. Replacement was easy and no leaks. Unit is well made, just make sure you have vertical height above UV filter body to get replacement bulbs in and out.

It’s the right lamp for my UV system. I put it in, wait 365 days, the alarm goes off, and I put another one in my UV system. Then I wait another year, then I put another one in. Then I do it again.
