   Overall, the board is a great purchase. For some reason, the text on the board we received is not laid out the same as in the photo with only one word landing on the last line. If Petal Lane is printing it as they receive the order, I would recommend that they center-text the entire quote.

   Excellent Quality! This Memo Board is very well made. Solid construction with flawless frame. The canvas is very high quality. The letters and words on the canvas are very well printed, crisp and clean. The dimensions of the unit make is stand out, but not overbearing. We love that the wood magnets were included and allow us to attach photos or notes without damaging the board itself. The unit does hang off the wall 2″ which is what makes the look higher end.

   I love message boards and this one is magnetic which makes it even better. I used this one for my brothers birthday party that way people can make notes and be able to take pictures alongside of that. I remember the first time I used this product it was really easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to set up a message board at home. I like how sturdy it is so it won’t break down easily.

   So cool! We hung it up on Friday and when we had people over on Saturday – we got compliments on it right away! We are thinking of adding a light fixture right above it so we can put a focus on it; overall we are happy w/ the wood color as it matches the wood color we have in the office which is where this is. I hope we can add another one of these in our bedroom!

   When I saw the Journey – Thoreau Rustic Brown Frame Magnetic Memo Board available, I grabbed it immediately. I have several different walling hangings, pictures, and other things that I received from The Home Depot in recent months that have all been great, so I didn’t hesitate to grab this inspiring memo board as well. I will hang it in my teen’s room as a simple reminder to believe in herself.The only negative I have is that the adhesive paper that covers the magnetic side of the magnets is so difficult to remove, it’s frustrating. There has to be a better way! Besides that, it came thoroughly encased in bubble wrap to the point that there is no way that the mail man could have possibly nicked any part of it….I think that’s great and shows for thought on behalf of the manufacturer.

   Looks very nice.Pretty good Construction, a composite wood product (not real wood) is used for the frame. The board itself is made of a sturdy cardboard with some metal as part of the cardboard sandwich so that magnets will stick to it.Magnets are weak, you may need to use your own.The Thoreau saying on board top is a bit deep, but who cares, since it is a magnet board. Most of the time the saying will be covered up anyway. We suppose you could paint over it if it annoys you too much.No mounting hardware is included. However, since it is made of a composite wood product you can go to your nearby home depot and pick just about any of the picture hanging options.

   A nice gift for a literature lover, Its artwork with the added benefit of the magnetic board. I like that you can add a few notes to the middle of the board while keeping the printed quotation clear to read. the magnets were strong enough to secure notes and small enough to keep the clean look…not sure if its on purpose but they resemble a period. The deep inset of the canvas within the 2″ frame adds a nice interest . The rustic frame has a nice look but its constructed of a poly/plastic material, it would have been a better fit if it were real wood. It also looses a star since the magnets could have been packaged better and I had to peel the glue off. There also was not any hardware to hang. Sure I have my own but there I think it should be included.

   This is really beautiful and well made. It has a deep wood frame, it sticks out 2″ from the wall. The feel of the canvas is like a matte canvas. It’s not soft, but it’s not plastic-y feeling either. The words are printed right on the canvas. It comes with four, pretty small, magnets. I’m really happy with the quality, it looks really nice.I wish the magnets were a bit bigger, but they are strong enough. My only gripe is that, though the entire thing was packaged well, the magnets were glued to a piece of paper, and it it was really annoying to take all the dried glue off before using them.Overall, it’s a great pice of art that is useful. It looks beautiful in my office as is, or with a few things hung on it.

   This is without a doubt a very nice compliment to any room’s decor. I was really impressed at first with the statement by Thoreau that is permanently ascribed to the upper area. I do like the finished wood on the rustic brown framed magnetic board, and I also appreciate the attention to detail in the overall construction. I’ve added additional magnets that I had on hand, since I plan to post additional messages, photos, recipes, etc as I go. True quality throughout , and also very attractive at the same time being mounted in a deep 2″ frame. I have only 3 issues/complaints: The glue on the back of the magnets is/was almost impossible to remove from these small magnets. The magnets are way too small, in my opinion, and magnets more the size of a quarter would be more warranted. Also, there is no hanging bracket on the back side. I know it can just hang on a nail, but at the selling price, and in line with the overall quality of this product, I would most certainly expect to see a hanging bracket included, if not already installed. Otherwise, I totally look forward to many years of enjoyable usage.

    I am a fan of Thoreau and the style of this piece fits our decor quite well. We’re going to continually swap out photos on ours but it could just as well be used for notes, coupons, or whatever else you wanted to keep handy. The magnets are just strong enough for most things but you may need to double up if your items are larger or weigh a little more. Because I didn’t notice on the listing, the frame on this is plastic not wood. Those passing through your space would likely never know the difference. I suppose it makes it a little lighter to hang but it also does make the feel a little on the cheaper side versus wood. In addition there is no hanging hardware so you’ll need to source and install that yourself.

    I was looking for a memo board and this Thoreau rustic magnetic memo board is great. It is very stylish and also is the perfect size. The light brown wooden frame goes with our furniture and decor. We have a galley-style kitchen with very little wall space so we mounted it at the end of our hall where everyone can see it and we have received many compliments. Great choice.
