Initially worked fine, now it regularly disconnects during calls, and will sometimes reconnect randomly (other times it won’t). After using for awhile, it will also create a very loud and regularly occuring static noise – unrelated to when a person is speaking or not).

Already working from home before pandemics, I was constantly changing headsets. I decide to invest in the Best product now… in love! hours and hours of use don’t tire your ears/head. The sound quality of calls amazing and ! for listening my spotify playlists the sound it’s also very , very good , good surprise ! Make no mistake, this is a flagship product, top of the pops. I purchased the Voyager Focus UC due to wireless features and included ANC. Overall, it performs as advertised, but I have encountered a consistent echo issue with the headset. I am able to hear my own voice slightly delayed in the earphones of the headset, when speaking. This makes it very difficult to have an effective conversation using the headset. The problem occurs when headset is connected to a computer via the USB dongle or directly with my cellphone.

Excellent all-around, with only one shortcoming: call recipients report weak voice pickup.

I have this headsets since 3 years ago, I can say that they do work great, if you try to use the bluetooth driver and HW that most PCs and laptops have the device will not work as expected, you have to use the propetary USB Bluetooth dongle. Perhaps that is why many people had give a bad Rating to this device. Of course as all products they start showign some wear after the years specially the plastic holder that goes around the head. But there is always a fix for it.

This is by far the best headset out there for work. I’ve used headsets for 20 years, and have several at home, and these are the most comfortable, easy to wear, best sound quality and durable headsets out there. Ignore the trolls who work for other companies dissing these things, saying they’re cheap and they break. If they broke these, they break EVERY headset they own, because these are pretty sturdy. I travel with them all the time – just stuff them into my computer bag with all my other junk, and they are fine. Had these for over two years now. And the user who complained about the “Mute on” notification?? That is such a tiny, tiny piece of the package. The sound is phenomenal, the noise cancelling superb, my voice on the other end is clear…. Nothing bad to say about these. No, they’re not cheap. Nothing good ever is.

WOW ! I work for a large company that sells Unified Communications and we sell headsets from 3 vendors. In the last year I’ve tried about 15 different headsets and the Plantronics Voyager Focus is Incredible. It has all the features I need. The Active Noise Cancelling works very well. I haven’t tried it on a plane yet but it does cancel out noises like Vacuum Cleaners, Car Engine Noises, Refrigerators quite well. The noise cancelling microphone is AMAZING ! I have an iPhone 6 and I called my wife with it in the car on the highway going 60 miles/hour with the windows open. With the iPhone or iPhone speakerphone, she couldn’t hear a thing because of the wind, with the Voyager Focus, she could hear me perfectly and couldn’t hear any wind. She said it sounded like I was at my desk with a Landline. I listen to music a lot and I’m on conference calls about 3-4 hours a day. The headset is super comfortable, has very clear sound and has a lot of features I like. (Plug and play dongle, Bluetooth, mute detection, truly reversible (Left/Right), mute when removed from your head, etc. With walls/partitions in my way, with bluetooth I can go about 20 feet from the base, with the dongle about 30 feet and the headset works flawlessly. I use a lot of Unified Communications Applications and Devices (MS Lync, WebEx, GotoMeeting, Live Meeting, OCS, SIP Phones) and the device works perfectly. I would recommend this headset to anyone ! For personal/work/contact center and even gamers as it the BEST HEADSET I’VE EVER HAD ! DT British Columbia, Canada

I have 3 of these headsets, all running on iOS (latest) + macOS (latest) – the PLANTRONICS HUB is mostly useless as it never updates on any macs I have. It just claims your sw/fw is current and the CHECK FOR UPDATES button says…guess what: Cant connect to server .. if you google it, you’ll see that I am not the only one – and yeah, I am a computer engineer with 20+ years of tech experience.. just saying… The headsets (all of them) disconnects every now and then and I have spend time getting them online again – That is pretty useless when you are up to a call in 3 mins…. I dont know what the h… happened to Plantronics, it used to be good with no issues.. now I have to check the headset connection 5 min before a call and also keep an additional headset ready. btw; have manually uninstalled the Hub, updated to latest (as of today) and upgraded to headset firmware v500 already.

This is a great product. I am very fond of the results when using it in calls. My only concern is that I have developed a pain (hearing loss) in my left ear (where the Mic is) after extended use. I was surprised to find out that a colleague of mine using these headsets had the same problem 🙁

I bought this device for work and the second time in 5 months it is having problems. I had to have the first one replaced in less than 2 months because the top part of the black plastic broke. Now the plastic is coming lose again and the audio is cutting out on the speaker opposite the mic and the volume is low on the one speaker that is working. WHEN it is working, it is a fine product. It is just cheaply made to break twice in such a short time.

The sound quality is good, people like how I sound on the mic, and I love the noise suppression, but the firmware is lacking. Their is no option to chose which device of the paired devices you want to connect to, no choice of which one it’s talking two of the two active devices of the 8 paired, and the app integration is a bit lacking. It works better with its own BT600 audio adapter than it does to a native bluetooth, but still the BT600 audio adapter is not a bluetooth adapter, but a USB Audio adapter that speaks bluetooth. (so the only way to turn it off so you can connect to a different device is to pull it out of the USB slot, you can’t disable it in the OS blue tooth setting. The battery life is as advertised, but the recharge is relatively slow.

Very comfortable for all day wearing. The sound quality is excellent. The controls are very logically laid out and the features make for very easy operation in all sorts of conditions.

I’ve been using this for the last couple of weeks. Functionality is great and convenient. It advertises 95 ft range but I’m unable to get any near that on either Bluetooth or USB. Works to about 15-20 ft before it gets choppy. Other than the range the features are great

Just started working from home. Earbuds bother me so this was a great solution. I have used Plantronics before and always great quality.

I use these headphones every day for work, talking to co-workers and customers every day. I often work from coffee shops and my vehicle and nobody hears the noise around me, truly amazing. For a few co-workers I have turned the noice cancelling off when we are talking and they can’t believe the difference

I would give 2.5 stars if I could. First of all the microphone should be longer, as they have done it on PLT model (or at least an inch longer). That would help with better voice quality. All of the people I talk to over the phone tell me the same… I sound like I am standing 3-5 feet away from the microphone. They can here me, but they ask me to come closer to the microphone. The second thing I don’t like is the active noise cancellation is way too week. I did not expected it to be as good as my Sony MDR-1000X, but expected to closer to Beats Studio 2 or something… I would say it blocks only 15-20% of the noise comparing to SONY MDR-1000X, and maybe 35-40% compared to Beats Studio 2. Maybe it would block better if the ear-pads would be larger and over the ear, so the noise itself would be blocked better by passive NC… Now I conciser the active NC as almost non existing, or useless for these head sets… Other than these two issues I think these headsets are pretty good. Quality and options are OK, and sound quality is in line with the price. I think these headsets would be pretty good for someone who works in the office with other loud coworkers, who are located at least 6-7 feet away from you. I would assume that other coworkers would be heard in your conversation over the phone because of how short the microphone is.

I really wanted to like this headset. The features, form factor, comfort, and battery life are ideal. But the audio quality on my laptop? Horrific. Entirely unusable for calls, and barely better for streaming music. It cuts out or is garbled constantly despite being no more than 3 feet from my laptop. When using them just as headphones for streaming pandora, it gets garbled often but sometimes works. When going for headset mode with the mic it’s totally, consistently useless and garbled. Can’t make out a word anyone is saying and they cant make out what i’m saying. I’ve installed their app, updated the firmware and drivers, used them with two different laptops and built-in bluetooth and the included dongle…all the the same result.

This is on the top 3 list for best headsets I have used in 27 years of telecom and personal use. The Voyager is the only professional one on that list even competing with things outside of it’s niche. I would say the RIG 800HD #1, Creative Fatal1ty #2, and the Voyager Focus UC #3. The ease of use switching between devices is amazing and im not sure how we survived without it before haha. The comfort and battery life is good enough for work or play 10 hours a day with up to 6 hours of on ear time. I even use it for it’s ANC when i go in the data center for ear protection.

I have not been able to troubleshoot successfully to resolve the massive amounts of interference the audio feedback has. I’ve finally had to switch back to my wired headset because I was missing too much conversation on client calls. Other than updating firmware, I was not able to find any useful troubleshooting for this issue.
