We have been using Plantronics headsets for years and this is the first product, Savi 8240 Office convertible standard, that has been under whelming. We upgraded from the Savi W740 convertible however that model is better in sound quality out of the box by far. The 8240 sound is tinny, too soft, and callers sound distant. The mic creates an unusual reverb sound in the headset as well. We will be testing the Poly Lens app to see if this enhances the sound quality but out of the box, the system disappoints.

I’ve owned this headset for over three years. I’ve tried them all and this is the best one period. it provides you with the longest range and longest battery life… the only issue I’ve had is replacing the battery after three years of consistent use. Audio quality is great, setup is easy, and they provide consistent updates through their Plantronics Hub app. I don’t think I can go back to a standard headset ever again. Thank you, Plantronics/Poly, for a great product.

The hardware is fantastic. Comfortable, looks good, great range, good sound quality, good microphone. The software is almost awful. Plantronics Hub is buggy, especially on Mac, but buggy on Windows, too. Every update brings dread at what new bugs will appear. For instance, I can’t leave the feature where PC audio automatically plays on, because it will switch away from an active call to an alert sound. (That didn’t happen in the old days.) Also, clicking the button to connect to a new source often fails or takes a long time. As I told Plantronics (now Poly) when I had a 7220, they should make it so I can double-click the mobile button to activate Siri, but a single click just makes it select that source. Still nothing similar years later. Overall, it’s a good product, but definitely not one I would buy again or recommend to anyone I like.

BAD – (1) This headset cannot connect to cell phone without the base! (2) The wheel that controls volume is a little shaky = does not hold firmly. GOOD – On the bright side, it is all you would expect – great Active Noise Cancellation, great reach, AND the fact that the base will ring for incoming calls is a big plus as you are getting an external speaker that helps not to miss any calls. CONCLUSION – I would likely NOT buy again and would think twice as hard if having the base is worth it.

This is one of multiple headsets I’ve received recently, 8245 UC in the ear, behind the head, and over the head. I configured it as over the head and the behind the ear just feels like ti will fall out. I’ve been told it provides a pretty clear and natural sound similar to my old Jabra Pro. The downside is that I can have the headset all charged up (no lights flashing on the charger, 100% in the app) and yet once I connect with a Teams call I will see 75% capacity within 20-30 minutes. I’ve had it go completely dead in about 2 hours even when I switched batteries. The upside is that it is small enough to easily carry in your laptop case.

I’ve had Savi headsets for many many years. Working remote, i’m on the phone all the time. Also working remote i need noice cancellation. With Teams, Cisco and Zoom integration this headset fits the bill. The cellphone integration and deskphone setting is perfect for me. Its a solid build and works fantastic. Music quality is nice. Have 0 negative items for this, except the pricing.

Headset connection between right and left speaker intermittent. Adjust the headset and the left speaker stops working. Obviously the wired connection between right and left speaker is failing. Design flaw, suggestion to anyone buying this headset, use a usb cable to charge the headset But never let it rest in the base, weight of the speaker hanging is apparently to much for this unit. Outside of this issue, the unit has performed flawlessly.

I went from a W720 to this unit and it is NIGHT AND DAY BETTER than any other headset I’ve used in the past!.
